I know several people who have the Network only for the archives
For me, it's a steal with PPVs that used to cost 60 or 70 bucks, now costing me 10 a month, in addition to all the other content such as NXT or the extra stuff on there.
But a big feature to me when I got it on its release date in 2014, was the archives. Being able to watch every PPV (including my fave WrestleMania 21) and so much more, I didn't want to pass it up.

I do. I haven't watched WWE since around 2005

Yep. I'm not really enthused with the current product, and WWE cancelled all the original shows I liked besides Table For 3. The archives have always been the main reason I subscribed and that's becoming more and more the case each month.

I'm aware that WWE Network has countless hours of video footage featuring post-2001 WWE, but I've never watched any of it. My viewing tends to all be done under the 'Vault' section.

This morning I received an electronic mailing from my good friends at the wwe network because they were concerned I hadn’t used the network in a few weeks(actually it’s more like 2 months) fearing I must have forgotten my password and they implored me to try logging in to make sure my info still works so I don’t miss all the great action this Sunday at TLC and they requested that I e-mail them as to why I haven’t used the network recently.I’m not interested in the current product including ppv’s and they don’t add old stuff that frequently especially stuff that I haven’t seen to death I’ve been gifted a year of the network by a comrade of mine but I won’t be using it until either the current product changes drastically(which isn’t likely) or they add some old stuff that I’m interested in.

I think Yes will be everyone's answer, the new content is simply a bonus for when you're bored

I've had the network all year and the only things I've watched of the current product is the Royal Rumble match and Wrestlemania. I'd love them to introduce a separate cheaper subscription for archive only content.

I'm pretty much the opposite. I only subscribe for whenever a current PPV interests me and even when I do I usually can't be assed to watch anything from the archives. In part because I can only handle so much wrestling at a time, it's not at all something I can happily watch every day of the week even if it's good.

My main reason is still NXT. It's one of the things I got a very close friend of mine into and we can share together.
Every now and then I intend to watch archival stuff, but it just ends up being one or two matches from some old PPV every 3 weeks or so...

Yes and no. I want it for all that stuff but it’s not essential. I keep it for practical financial reasons.
A single PPV is $55 or more Mania is almost $100 here. So, even if that’s the only show I watched once a year, the Network is worth it.

I watch the live PPV's but other than that when I watch it it's usually some random 80s action

Honestly if I could get the Network for like 4.99 a month instead of 9.99 and all I got was the archives I think I'd do that. I know 5 bucks a month extra for all the live ppvs isn't bad but I just really don't care about current WWE. I use the network to watch mostly stuff from 1985-2000. I enjoyed legends round table, Story Time, Legends with JBL, and some of the podcast stuff but really I just want the old ppvs and weekly shows.

not even going to lie, if they ever upload all of the old jobber shows I'd watch the hell out of those. Some real gems of hilarity on those.

I mostly watch the old stuff. When it was still WWF. I love the 80s territories too. I notice different things now that I missed as a kid. I do still watch the Big 4 ppv.

Why we keep begging for more. We want WCW Saturday Night, Superstars, Challenge, Heat, Shotgun et al not just for nostalgia and relive the history, but because it’s ten times better than the current product. If the Network was only current, subscriber base would look like the crowd at a SmackDown taping. Some of the PPVs from 97 and 98 are ROUGH to watch. I listen to the Prichard podcast so any time they do a PPV show from like 98 I cringe b/c the undercard is such a mess. But yeah, I do keep the Network for the historical stuff, and just watch NXT Takeover and the PPVs.

I barely watch it but keep it for the ppvs in case my brother comes over, but when I do watch it's the vault all the way

I think Yes will be everyone's answer, the new content is simply a bonus for when you're bored What a hilariously sweeping statement. Having spent the first fifteen or so years of my fandom with PPVs either inaccessible or prohibitively expensive, and my only access to weekly TV being either Heat on 4 or censored Saturday morning Smackdown on Sky One, I still get a thrill from getting to see a PPV even if it's the day after. And at ten quid a month, even if I only watched one PPV a month, that's still roughly the same that buying the big four on Sky Box Office would be.

Nah, I hardly ever really use the archives, except when I need to fall asleep, I will put on some PPV from 20 years ago I've seen a bunch of times and drift away.
Then again, I do still watch most of the weekly content, so how many more hours of wrestling do I need anyway?

I mainly watch the old stuff. Speaking of which, did they take down the old ECW PPVs? Couldn't find them or some of the old WCW ones tonight.
