It was Nova's to win. They ran house against every single opponent this year. No one even came close to them.
As I said before, I really dont know if anyone in this Tournament would have been able to stop them or even give them a challenge, they were dialed in.

To think, I had Villanova losing in the round of 32.

It was Nova's to win. They ran house against every single opponent this year. No one even came close to them. West Virginia did give them a challenge. I had Nova losing to West Virginia. Not a good year for my bracket. 1 of my Final Four lost in the 1st round (UVA), 2 lost in the 2nd (UNC and Sparty), and I had the Champion going out in the Sweet Sixteen. At least one of my Final Four teams made the Elite Eight, and that was Texas Tech. Congrats to Nova. You ain't beating a team that shoots like they did in the tournament.

I think I had WVU losing to Murray in the first round, 5/12 upset. Oddly for all the upsets in this tourney there wasn't a single of the most frequent variety, the 5/12. But it's really a matter of match ups when it comes to Nova. They played a few tough defensive teams like TX Tech and Michigan (3rd and 4th defensively this year), but they didn't play the most psychotic defensive team in Virginia. Nor did they play Duke (let's be honest Kansas wasn't that great).
It's funny but after UVA lost to UMBC I joked about their talent that having guys like Kyle Guy and Ty Jerome as your best players is like if Villanova was trying to win the title with Donte DiVincenzo as their best player. So of course last night DiVincenzo went berserk and was the MVP of the Final 4. That was some Luke Hancock level awesomeness coming off the bench, probably even better.

Just glad Michigan lost because too many of their local fans were talking too much shit about "TEAM OF DESTINY!"

To be honest I could have seen Nova having a problem with Va Tech in the 2nd round, but once VT went down to Bama then I knew Nova would destroy them. Bama was a nothing Jobber to the Stars team that shouldn't have even been in the tourney if not for Auburn tanking it a couple of times against them. VT had wins over Virginia and Duke this year and felt similar to the NC St. team that upset Nova in 2015.

In their infinite wisdom, the NCAA thinks making freshmen ineligible to play ball is a good idea if the nba doesn't change the age limit. What a bunch of idiots
