ESPN has really turned people against Trae Young That's what happens when you get the non-stop ESPN hype. Outside of Young, this Oklahoma team is just bad. And not in the good way, they are freaking terrible. He's going to carry this team into the tourney. They've got no plan besides "Get Trae Young the ball", and they don't want to develop another plan and the team.

If you are a firm believer in the KenPom notion that a title team should be top 20 in offense and defense then there are really only 3 teams right now that would qualify: Purdue, Michigan St., and Gonzaga. UNC is just outside this at 29 in defense, while Auburn is 35 in defense (as if anyone thinks Auburn is winning the title). Kansas is 33 in defense. Purdue to me has zero shot winning the title and if anything is probably a decent bet for an early round upset, while MSU would probably be Montreal Screwjobbed before being allowed to get near a FF after the whole Nassar deal. That leaves the Zags.

ESPN has really turned people against Trae Young It's like every day, they talk endlessly about how awesome Trae Young is. I mean, he's a great player, but that's in the fact that he's a lobber. I don't know if that'll translate to NBA success because there's dozens of Christian Laettners for every Tim Duncan.

Speaking of bad teams how in the hell does Kennedy have a job at A&M most of the time he has just been .500 If you have a killer football program, it overshadows stinky basketball programs. I mean, look at Nebraska. And vice versa. Being a coach of a historically awful program is like job security in and of itself.

It took playing a lousy Penn State team for Purdue to break their losing streak.
And the Lions were in it the whole game.

Buddy Hield and Blake Griffin never got the attention/hype of Trae Young.
And they were National Players of the Year on OU teams that made deep tourney runs (Elite Eight, Final Four).
This OU team has 8 losses in the Big 12 already. Those OU teams (2009, 2016) lost 9 Big 12 combined in 3 years.
I mean, Buddy Hield got 40+ at Kansas and will get dwarfed in hype by Trae Young if he has 30+ at Kansas tomorrow night.

Mark my words; Chicago State will be cutting their entire athletic department in 5 years. They left the Midwest leagues for political reasons to join the hodgepodge Great West, and when that went belly up, they went to the WAC, a once great conference now on life support. Considering the travel budget alone, the school may consider killing the entire department as a cost cutting measure.

Let's be honest. The WAC has been junk since about 2000 when Utah, New Mexico, etc. broke off to join the Mountain West. I guess Tulsa had a pretty good run in the early 2000s but that's about it for the WAC. Nevada was decent after that for a while I guess. Now though? Blah.

College Football realignment killed the WAC. The 1996 expansion was the beginning, when the Mountain West split off happened, that was a devastating blow, as they lost all their charter members. They had to take in former Big West teams to replace them and then those left for the Mountain West until eventually they ran out of Western teams to add.

If it wasn't for Baker Mayfield, the chuckleheads would be non-stop on Young.

They're taking Louisville's banner down I knew it, Louisville's 2013 title has been BENOITED from history. Do you remember when Stevie Richards coached Bob Holly U to the 2013 national title in basketball? at least the Louisville women's team's 2013 runner up banner (they jobbed to U-CON in the 2013 women's national title game) will stay. Do you also remember when Virgil coached Tom Magee U (The name of Bob Holly University at the time) to the 1993 men's national title game only to do the J.O.B to North Carolina?

Don't be surprised if more teams get swept up in these, either. I remember seeing that at least a couple dozen university programs are under investigation by the FBI. This is gonna get f***in' ugly.

Bob Holly U is now a national champion in both football (2004-5 season) and men's basketball (2012-13 season) along with several final fours and bowl game victories (some of which during it's days as Tom Magee U before changing it's name to Bob Howard U. sometime in 2000) and they are also 1995 NCAA softball champions
