The matchups are pretty much set
The two wild card games are Yankees/Twins and D-Backs/Rockies

Yankees get the wild card and I'm not liking it one bit. Having that feeling that they're gonna fizzle out in that one game and that's that for the season.
I heard in Korea, they play 2 games and the higher seed needs to win 1 game while the lower has to win both. That sounds like something MLB should look into doing.

Absolutely brutal loss for the Brewers hands the second wild card spot to Colorado.

That Yankees/Twins match-up should be fun. Even the NL match-up has a lot of firepower. But the D-backs seem like the favorite. But that Minny/NY game could go either way.

I have absolutely no idea what to expect from the Sox this year. We could go all the way if our pitching is on point like it was most of the year or we could get swept in three games again.

Don't have a good feeling about the Sox against the Astros in the ALDS. Was thinking my Sox would take care of them and play the Indians in the ALCS. Didn't like the way they finished the season this week. They went 1-6 in the final week of the regular season for the second straight year. Don't feel good once again after that finish, just like last October.

I felt shaky about the Nats coming into the playoffs and with Max dealing with an injury, I wouldn't be shocked if the Nats lose in 4. This team has the lineup, pitching and bullpen to get it done. At least win 1 round.

I heard in Korea, they play 2 games and the higher seed needs to win 1 game while the lower has to win both. That sounds like something MLB should look into doing. This is the scary part as a Yankee fan This team is not necessarily in position to win a one game playoff However, as I said before they are indeed built for a series and if they get past Minnesota they could make some noise assuming the offense doesn't completely flatline like it did for almost 2 months because they have the pitching to get it done Severino, Tanaka, Gray, and Sabathia is a good enough 4 squad to get it done but obviously the worry comes in for Sabathia and Tanaka who are prone to blown up innings. Knowing Girardi he will blow out the bullpen but considering you have Betances, Robertson, Green, and Chapman who have been pitching very good during the last 6 weeks or so and then you got Kanhle who throws damn near 100 mph and probably Montgoemory or Garcia as a lefty out the pen. They have the best bullpen but like I said i'm still shakey because far too many times Girardi does not press the right buttons and is stubborn in his habits.

I hate the ALDS is on premium tier network's while the NLDS is on basic cable.

At least win 1 round. I feel like this is a year where someone should be called out if they don't reach certain goals If the Nats don't at least make it into the NLCS than they need to be called out because it seems they get a pass every year and don't really get much flack for their past failures in the last few years in the playoffs If Clayton Kershaw doesn't perform like the best or one of the best pitchers in the game he def needs to be called out. I've gone to calling him the Peyton Manning of Baseball which is a great comparison but he's yet to live up to what Bumgarner has done who's essentially the Tom Brady comparison It's going to be interesting to see what happens with Boston because while 2 of their big 3 pitchers have struggled this season I wouldn't be surprised if Price has a great post season in his Miller role but then the question becomes do you try to move him if you can get some value for him in the off season

I wish the best of luck to whoever eventually wins the NLCS because the NLCS is on TBS this year, teams who had their LCS air on TBS are 1-9 in the World Series hence the "TBS Curse" and that 1 win was in 2011 when Ernie Johnson wasn't involved in the NLCS in any way shape and form either on the booth or as a studio host. But this year the NLCS overlaps with the NBA season starting so Brian Anderson will be calling the NLCS with Johnson on NBA studio duty.
I predict da Yanks win the AL wildcard

Major League Baseball and FS1 is probably rooting pretty hard for the Yankees on Tuesday night, given they put the Indians and the American League Wild Card winner in the two primetime slots on Thursday and Friday while relegating the Red Sox and Astros to mid-afternoon slots. New York/Minnesota at Cleveland is at 7:30 on Thursday and 5 on Friday, while Boston at Houston is at 4 on Thursday and 2 on Friday.
Honestly, I'm just pissed that the first two Red Sox playoff games (and likely all of Game 2, to be specific) will be happening while I'm at work.

For the Cubs, it's largely going to depend on which versions of Lester and Arrieta show up. If playoff Lester and strike throwing Arrieta show up, they ave a chance. The Nate are really good. On paper, I'd probably say they're slightly better than the Cubs. And the rotations are a big reason why. But if Scherzer isn't 100%, who knows.

I'm really interested to see how David Price does. His only playoff success came in the bullpen, so maybe he's in store for something big against Houston
