Thinking back when Bron came into the league you would have thought he would have been in the dunk contest at least once I thought he did it once? And wasn't very good. Did I just dream that? ---- Yup, apparently just made it up somewhere in my head. Lol He was gonna do the 2010 dunk contest but then pulled out. My guess is that he realized he could get injured for the rest of the season and the playoffs.

CP3 was watching the game last year and got bored. As the president of the players association he pitched the new format to see if the game could become more interesting. Seriously? Yeah he carries a lot of influence in the league, Lebron and Adam Silver got on board and convinced everyone else it was the right thing to do. Apparently the thing that pissed off CP3 and the comissioner last year the most was when instead of defending a fast break, Steph Curry just mockingly crawled in the ground and pretended there was an explosion while the east scored. I don't know if this new format will make the game more interesting or not.

Thinking back when Bron came into the league you would have thought he would have been in the dunk contest at least once He no doubt should have done it at least once as almost all the great players have done the dunk contest at least once. My assumption has always been he thought he was bigger than the dunk contest which is why he never did it At worst he could have been like Blake Griffin where all his dunks are just basic shit but you'll still win because of name value and how much force he throws into a dunk

CP3 was watching the game last year and got bored. As the president of the players association he pitched the new format to see if the game could become more interesting. Seriously? The new All-Star Game format is going to last two years, maybe three tops. Every other major American professional sport, save for Major League Baseball, has tried tinkering with their respective All-Star Game format only to revert back to conference versus conference. The NHL tried it with team captains selecting the rosters. It lasted three years. The NFL tried it with Pro Bowl teams chosen by legends. It lasted three years. The whole notion of captains selecting their respective teams is only interesting for debate fodder over who'll choose who or who'll let a grudge get in the way. Will LeBron choose Kyrie? Will Curry snub any of his Warriors teammates? But once the game starts, you immediately forget who's playing for which team and it becomes a jumbled, confusing mess. Off the top of my head, I can't name with 100 percent certainty any of the starters on either All-Star team this year.

Joel "Eddie Guerrero" Embiid.
Although, his cheating wasn't as effective as Eddie's.

Football isn't really a sport that can be played at that level with teams only being together for 3 days, and hockey still has a gimmicky All Star game but changed it to one that highlighted the realignment of the league. Pick-up basketball is way more of a "thing", if guys play halfway decently it'll be around for a while.

I like that they're trying something new but it's hard to watch a game where you have no real rooting interest.

Since Vince. Only 2016 brought it.
The Dunks need to be sunk. Or get the stars.
