Yep, Cleveland's 1st in the East now
All that shit Boston sacrificed and now Gordon is done and Thomas still doesn't look like he's close to getting back...

Tatum and Brown are going to have to step up big time Like I said before Bos still has the ability to make a move but it all depends on if they think Heyward will come back himself next year

Good lord, that Hayward injury was horrific. There's a video circulating around where several members of the Cavs bench have to visibly look away because it's so nasty.

Celtics medical staff say Gordon Hayward has a fractured left ankle. Don't know if that's better or worse then a broken leg.

Celtics medical staff say Gordon Hayward has a fractured left ankle. Don't know if that's better or worse then a broken leg. Perhaps I'm just looking for something optimistic, but NBC Sports Boston's A. Sherrod Blakely just tweeted that a fractured ankle means Hayward could return this season. Others are surmising that recovery to this kind of injury could be in the area of four-to-six months, which would put Hayward's return to the floor at February at the earliest or April at the latest. Either way, it's not impossible to think he could be back in green for the playoffs. There's obviously never a good time to fracture an ankle, but it happening in the first quarter of the first game of the season at least holds out for the possibility of Hayward returning at any point in the 2017-18 season.

That all depends if it's a "clean break" and there's no damage to ligaments or anything like that

That was f***ing nasty. That’s got to be his season definitely. could be worse than that, hopefully not but there is that possibility.
Depending on the fracture the bone could be healed in 6-8 weeks. Takes another couple months to recover. He "could" be back by Spring but with the investment the Celtics put in him I think they'll be more cautious.

Gordon Hayward's injury is one of the more gruesome and unsettling injuries I've seen, up next to Louisville's Kevin Ware.
The crowd gasping and then silence, players shaken up, and of course Kevin Harlan's commentary "He broke his leg! He broke his leg!" was something that will never leave me.
Maaaaan.... Hate this.

Hate that it happened. And I hate how carefully I have to tread the internet and sport show waters to avoid seeing it.

Was Hayward injury worse than Paul George? Yeah he might miss an extended period of time but PG13 is still playing at a high level.
