Bon Jovi I can understand (longevity/sales/tours/etc...) But The Cars? Dire Straits? Over Judas Priest and Link Wray? Those...those I can't. Why's that?

Wait, do people actually treat this as a legit HOF? It's no better than the WWE HOF Probably worse.

The fact that Judas Priest got snubbed is very concerning. Bon Jovi I can understand. But how does Judas Priest not get in?

Depeche Mode should get in for this alone Ugh I love this song. Depeche aren't in, TEN YEARS after their first eligibility, come on This was the first time the Moody Blues were even nominated and they've been eligible since '89. Chronology is the biggest problem with this place, especially when coupled with their blatant favoritism/biases. They're sort of starting to right the ship, but it's already such a mess that fixing one oversight just sheds light on another one.

Bon Jovi and The Cars in before influencial acts like New Order,Kraftwerk,Joy Division etc........... Theirs clearly a huge bias towards top 40 and white american rock radio artists with the R&R HOF

When it comes to the RnR Hall of Fame you can pretty much only count on the big name metal and alternative groups (Nirvana, Metallica, Green Day, REM). It’s pretty much an FM Rockers club nowadays.

I thought I'd ruined it for myself by listening to it a lot after a brief relationship ended earlier this year but it's still awesome.

Nope, I think he gets a lot of flack for not writing his own stuff, but that's just speculation Then they should put in Jim Steinman, dammit. Lots of good choices there though, especially Rosetta Tharpe, who has as big a claim as anyone to being one of the inventors of Rock And Roll. Yip Steinman should go in. Meatloaf does have a few writing credits on some songs. Midnight at the lost and found he had a hand in, although its under his real name, M L Aday.

My five votes. Doubt MC5 or Link ever get in. But who knows.

Jann Wenner is basically Vince Mcmahon with this. If he doesn’t like you, you’re not going to make it.

I've heard that Jann Wenner has some sort of bias against "arena rock". Jann Wenner is basically Vince Mcmahon with this. If he doesn’t like you, you’re not going to make it. Eventually, though the fans who grew up with arena rock and became critics are going to get some kind of foothold in the voting process, and when that happens, we might even see second-tier bands like Survivor and Toto nominated.
