Not really the time for famous people to be bashing women in general.....is it, Casey Ryback?

As a female fan, let me just say.... yes, I have mental issues, but I don't know what that has to do with wrestling?
Seriously though, f*** Ryback. What a loser. Writing his own phoney Amazon reviews, lmao.

Talking "without a filter" is just a euphemism for talking like an asshole. Not saying either guy was/is, but any time someone mentions some variant of them 'telling it like it is/without a filter/et al', it's just them trying to give themselves an excuse to be a dick. While there’s definitely a lot of truth to that, this seems to be getting a bit of an overreaction. Ryback grumbles “mental issues” and he isn’t exactly condemning all female fans, just saying he wouldn’t date them. How many entertainers date their fans? Not many at all. Sure, there are tons of groupies out there and if he doesn’t consider them dating material, no one should have a problem with that.

Okay, Ryback is an asshole, but that's clearly a passing aside based on personal experience rather than 'ALL FEMALE FANS HAVE MENTAL ISSUES.'
Seth Rollins seems to have got away with a much more explicit, much worse claim about female fans all being rats.

He has a podcast? Why? Is there a big demand to hear this guy talk?

Yeah, I'm on the "biggest scoop in all this is that Phoenix Marie is his co-host" -bandwagon. How on earth did she end up there? Well, she's a pornstar, so she's gotten used to being around giant dicks. NoobNoob: GOT...DAMN!

Seth Rollins seems to have got away with a much more explicit, much worse claim about female fans all being rats. I was wondering when someone would bring up Seth's comments. I mean, Ryback has a history of being an douchebag, but it did sound like he was speaking from experience and I imagine most performers in the entertainment industry wouldn't date their fanbase (the Twihard horror stories from Robert Pattinson alone speaks volumes). Certainly nowhere near as inflammatory as Seth's "all female wrestling fans are just faking it to get some dick" comment. That said, when you have a looooong track record of saying stupid shit, you should probably learn to exercise tact at some point. Though, Ryback does seem the type who takes it as a point of pride when people get pissed at what he said (see Kevin Hamilton's comment a few pages back).

I'm not trying to excuse what Ryback said, because it really is stupid. But I will say this, I've met a lot of really weird pro wrestling fans in my day. I can only imagine what those fans would be like if they were female and wanted to have sex with you. Yes. He had some actual experiences with female fans in mind when he said this. He overgeneralized, but people shouldn't act like they don't have any idea what he's talking about.

He has a podcast? Why? Is there a big demand to hear this guy talk? Yes, but all the demand comes from Ryback and the 4500 personalities in his head.

No matter if it's "true" or not or you just throw it out at the side of your mouth, just think before you even do that. Not because of some "PC GONE MADZ" bs, but just because it just isn't a decent thing to generalise about, regardless of other people's experiences. And yeah, Seth's comments were scummy and should be bashed. So should anyone else's. It's got nothing to do with this issue, though and, well, there are other opportunities to bring this stuff up. This shouldn't be a game of "Whose comments were worse". Humans can, and should, bash multiple assholes. (Yes, I realised the implications of what I said but screw it, I'm keeping it)

As a female with disabilities, I think he's not someone (no one should), make those claims. I have epilepsy, and I live eith it. Certainly not something I asked for, muxh like anyone who deals with mental illness. As for Rollins, I remember what he said, and that was also not a smart comment to make. I appreciate him as a performer, though, and while he could be a very nice person, that was not a smart thing to say.
