I'd love to see him get a shot in the WWE. If not, I'm sure the England indy scene would love to have him back

I hope he lands somewhere better than tna. The guy's stock died after they stopped booking him with EC3, and the gimmick he had with Sandow was one of the most embarrassing bullshits I've ever seen. It also didn't help that his singles push was overshadowed by Jeremy Borash and garbage Tyrus. After EC3 Spud was paired with legit shit. Sometimes you're only as good as your opponent or partner and Spud had to deal with Tyrus, Borash, and Sandow. Poor guy. How can you do worse than TNA?Wrestling for a sandwich in a backalley in Mexico? Spud would do better doing backyard wrestling than his last couple of years in tna.

Now Zema needs to be freed. If not for Mundo, I wouldn't bother DVRing it any longer. Damn you Johnny. You have no idea how bad I want Zema to be TJP's personal DJ. And it'd all be video game remixes and Zema would be like wtf man... haha

I'm sorry for repeating myself but I'm really upset of the last couple of years that Spud worked in this joke of a company.
He was a guy who had no business getting over, he's really small even by today's standards, has no physique whatsoever, could even be mistaken for a fan, but there's just something about him that got over.
He along with EC3, where the only thing worth watching during Dixie Carter's disastrous run as an in ring character. Then after that he really helped EC3 get over as a main event heel by his selling and the sympathy he received from the crowd.
This guy could've been a good babyface but they booked him in a feud with Tyrus that pretty much ruined them, a feud so pathetic that Jeremy Borash was the one who got all the attention. This shit also killed any hope Tyrus had of being a main eventer by having him sell to a f***ing announcer.
After that debacle they turned Spud heel and had EC3 constantly kicking his ass.
If that wasn't enough, he was featured in a career killing gimmick as Damien Sandow's flunkie. A gimmick so bad even by TNA's standards that it got cancelled a couple of weeks later.
This f***ing guy deserves so much better.

And he had a number of injuries in that period of time too-- similar to Cesaro's where his teeth were kicked up in his jaw thanks to Braxton Sutter, he had some lower back issues that required medical treatment twice that I remember.
And I know of people who are mad about this when he ASKED for his release, so... sometimes have to ask how much of fans these people really are when they can't even be happy when someone gets what they want/need to be successful without being embarrassed or hurt so often.

God, that's just heartless, releasing such a talented rookie like that.

Come to think of it, without looking it up I have no idea if Sandow is still with the company or not - or if he is, what his present character is. If I had to make a guess this very moment, it would be a complete coin toss.

Here's hoping he lands somewhere decent. He's not exactly a workrate machine but his character work is fantastic and he always gives 100% to his role.

God, that's just heartless, releasing such a talented rookie like that. Yeah, they could've booked him in a match against Amazing Red before his departure. That'd been the decent thing to do here.

Send him over to 205 to be Enzo's butler, much to Jack Gallagher's chagrin. i also thought of this, and now that is a REAL possibility!!! and his feud with hornswoggle was ..... actually GOOD ..... when was he last on TNA anyway?

I remember the EC3/Spud match in London (?) being pretty good. Dude definitely deserves better.

Hope he is in the mood for a unique oppurtunity. Mil tossing him around the temple is endless hilarity waiting to happen. If the crowd wasn't on a slope I'd say re-enact the ECW crowd surf.

“Spud 2002” gimmick in WWE please. It’s amazing. "Aww man, HHH, I'm such a massive fan of yours! Your matches against Cactus Jack were amazing!" "I'm Bobby Roode. We worked together not even a year ago." "Oh, sure, and that over there isn't Shawn Michaels. It's strange he dyed his hair blonde, though" "THAT'S DOLPH ZIGGLER!"
