I've been assuming Bryan has been cleared for quite a while now. From what I understand, Bryan’s been cleared by numerous doctors since 2016 (hell, even before he retired). The issue is that WWE’s doctor, Joseph Maroon, has not cleared him most likely because of the ongoing concussion lawsuit. "HAS NOT CLEARED HIM?!" {Spoiler}{Spoiler} What a maroon!

Yep, Bryan also said he even went to neurosurgeons in Pittsburgh who cleared him too. I'm kinda hoping this concussion lawsuit gets thrown out soon. Not just for the possibility of Bryan returning but because it's stupid anyway.

Maybe Bryan shows up to replace Shane at Survivor Series halfway through or something (though a bump by Shane would probably make him turn face). That was cool. Was more sad DB didn't get a 'Hell no!' out just before Kane choked him

Something is starting to smell fishy about the whole thing. I'm seriously starting to think we've been getting worked to kill time until the lawsuit gets dropped.

The way I feel about Bryan returning always remains the same.
Many Doctors have said he's good. Maroon says he's not. He's also an adult, and has a child now. So it's not my call to make, at all. If he and his wife feel he can do this, then that's up to him and I'll support him if he returns wherever that may be.

I'm not so sure they're setting up an in-ring return for him.
My theory is that he's now working with Owens and Zayn (he wanted Smackdown to be a land of opportunity for guys similar to him and it hasn't exactly turned out that way), and he'll help them cost Team Smackdown the match at Survivor Series. This way they can turn him heel and cool him off before he returns to the indies next year. Of course that isn't going to work and they'll be super over as a trio.

Even if Bryan returns it will be on an HBK late in his career type schedule. I believe he said on the E&C podcast that ideally he would work around 60 dates a year.

Yeah, I'll admit I am starting to wonder if they are building to something with him and Angle at WM. There is something about the whole thing that seems fishy and WWE lost a lot of ground when they cleared Angle. Plus it is not like Bryan hasn't been wrestling, he's been training Nikki and Brie, he just hasn't done it in front of a live audience. I think they're setting up Angle vs Triple H at Mania. Bryan vs Miz at Mania, a match that's been over a year in the making. This is it. Triple H I think from this point forward is only going to work with the older guys because he can't keep up with the young guys anymore. I'm sure he would love another shot at Rock and Goldberg too.

If the concussion lawsuit gets dropped and Brie's OK with it, I guess it can't be helped.
But in that case he'd damn well better cut out the headbutts.

Interesting to note, when Shane said he'd be the SDL captain, he said "as of right now" like they are waiting on something to take his place.

Interesting to note, when Shane said he'd be the SDL captain, he said "as of right now" like they are waiting on something to take his place. Last I heard, Shane's contract only requires two matches per year from him... granted, that number could easily grow for any reason. However, I'd love it if Bryan got angry at Shane, saying he went to RAW to smooth things over but got attacked by Kane and set up by Kurt Angle. So now, he feels Shane owes him one if he wants to make it good, and that is for him to step down and let Bryan become the new captain of Team Smackdown.
