So I think most of us would agree if we were to pick two of the most stale characters on either show these two names would likely come up a more than most.
First you have Dolph Ziggler. A seemingly meta character that feels like has been spinning its wheels for about 4 years now. Any time he seems to make any positive progress he's quickly right back down, and two steps back from where he was before. The man himself just seems unmotivated and defeated. Despite being the self proclaimed "show stealer," he rarely seems to ever actually stand out these days in anything other than an immediate channel changer. What purpose does he serve now? Who knows.
On the other had we have Bray Wyatt. A character who upon debut looked very promising. Yet despite that, just over 4 years later it seems like he exists solely to serve as some sort of lazy story line deus ex machina "get out of plot free" card. People who feud with him seem to also be dragged into his black hole of indifference and then left behind broken. He's gone through so many various incarnations of appearance and alleged "magic skills that no one seems to entirely know what the hell he is anymore. Gone is the creepy backwoods cult leader, and what's left now is some sort of cross-dressing... voodoo... demon... crap-shit-something... burger.
So who annoys you more right now, FAN? Pick your poison.
And if you still like both, well... more power to you.

I've been with Bray since he debuted on the main roster. For as shitty as WWE has handled him, I refuse to stop following the buzzards.
Ziggler I haven't been able to care about since 2013.

Tough... they are both pretty much stale in exactly the same way...
Both need to go away from a long time to change up their styles almost entirely...
I'll go with Bray because people can generally remember the few times when he wins... people talk about Bray like he hasn't won multiple feuds this year AND the world title because of how irrelevant he is to everything else.

Ziggler gets my vote. Bray has his flaws and failings outside of his booking, but I firmly believe he would be a great character in another show. Ziggler anywhere is a dollar store box of mac and cheese.

I like Bray more, but both guys need some tweaks. As much as giving guys lackeys can be a tired way of reviving someone, Bray's a cult leader. It'd actually make sense.

When Wyatt comes back, I think they should have a handful of sheep-masked followers with him. Everywhere. Kinda like they do in the comics. Ziggler not a complete lost cause, I just think this nth iteration of "I'm awesome, where's my respect?" isn't working.

Bray. I like Dolph as much as I always did and feel he's been badly treated. Bray is largely responsible for how uninteresting he's become.

Ziggler anywhere is a dollar store box of mac and cheese. For real, especially because most of Bray's problems right now could be fixed by just turning him face. Ziggler right now is like Val Venis 2007 levels of hopeless.

Bray's character is so bad I believe he's a detriment to the show every time he's on. Flipping through the channel and seeing him spout his BS or his supernatural garbage is exactly why nonfans and lapsed fans call wrestling "that shit".

Ziggler. I can tell you about Wyatt's feuds these past few years. I can tell you about the times he's fought Ryback, Jericho, Ambrose, Reigns, The Dudleys, I can tell you about the Orton stuff and even the Balor stuff. We can talk about when he became world champion. We can talk about when The Wyatts fought The League of Nations, remember that?
I cannot tell you a damn thing about Ziggler besides the fact that he feuded with Ambrose, Miz and Corbin. When someone's so stale you can't remember most of the things they've done in the past 3 years, that's a new level of stale.

I've been sick of Bray since shortly after he debuted. The character just f***ing sucks. At least Ziggler doesn't constantly get inserted into random feuds that derail guys more over than him.

Ziggler right now is like Val Venis 2007 levels of hopeless. They wouldn't even need to turn him face if they just booked him to be credible. It's so weird that with WWE feeling so heel-dominated, Bray isn't booked to any of the kinds of strengths he should be and they refuse to tell any of the logical stories his character opens up telling. It's like a high school romcom where one of the characters is just a wizard and nobody says anything about it, but all the wizard does is yell about how he's a wizard every once in a while and makes something float. It's bad. This is bad. But not as bad as Dolph Ziggler, who is like buying a box of mini-chocolate bars and biting into a mini Kit Kat that is actually just solid chocolate.

Bray's always fascinated me. I've never cared that much about Ziggler.

Bray Wyatt. Dolph Ziggler is just kinda there. Wyatt is actively the most ridiculous thing on the show, and not in a good way.

Bray but I don't watch SD all the time. I'm so sick of the DERP run ins and the Sister Abigail shit was just embarrassing.

My issue with Bray is his booking.
My issue with Dolph is that he's Dolph.

I wanted to vote both (sick of).
I ultimately chose Dolph. There's still hope for Bray, but I think Dolph is the new X-Pac.
