So after tonight's World Series Game 7 I'm wondering what are some other examples. One example I have in mind was during the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs between The Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Washington Capitals. 6 games were closely contested games with 5 of them being separated by one goal. Then there was that epic Game 2 game when the two top players in the league Crosby and Ovechkin both scored Hat Tricks IN THE SAME f***ING GAME!!!! Just an amazing series until Game 7 when the Penguins blew out The Capitals 6-2 in Washington.

Kind of hard to top Game 6.

2004 ALCS - tremendous drama throughout the Sox's comeback and it ends with a gigantic blowout.

Could argue Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals between the Celtics and Lakers. After an awesome back and forth series with all sorts of momentum swings and role players having huge games, Game 7 just showed how much the previous 6 games took their toll and we saw 2 teams with practically nothing left. It was a sloppy sloppy game. Kobe had a terrible shooting night. Ron Artest was the hero of the game amazingly enough. Not saying it was an all time bad game or was lacking in drama, but it did not live up to the games that came before it.

I know WHY Kobe got Finals MVP, but holy shit, Gasol and Artest were the only 2 people on the court who looked like they could play basketball.

They were dead in the water down by 13 in the 3rd. I felt like GS/Cleveland suffered from the problem you mentioned, IIRC I think Kyrie's 3 is the only made shot in that last 5 minutes.
