TNA has pretty much become the land of misfits wrestlers Honestly they SHOULD embrace that ad they dont have a bad roster and it eould make them different. The issue for a long time was the refusal to do that. Anthem deserves a lot of flak for how theyve run things since taking over (though some is a bit overblown in my honest opinion... until it comes out they are not paying wrestlers) but they at least seem to get they arent on WWE's level

This making fun of James Storm for choosing TNA over NXT should have stopped a while ago when he gave the reasons why he didn't stay in NXT. Once you say it's family involved there's nothing else that needs to be said HHH told him to do what's best and there's a door open in the future if anything. There are still people acting like Impact doesn't pay since Anthem took over. Oh like the girl who only was paid her bus ticket last year? Or the garbage catering they get? Or Jeff Jarrett claiming Anthem ran out of money? Or Satin's report that tna was charging the guys for parking? Or how about Mike Johnson reporting that wrestlers are being offered lower deals? Let's not pretend Anthem is that much better than Dixie because so far they've been a chicken shit outfit.

Yeah, still missing any piece of evidence related to the subject of them missing payments.

They can be tracked up to being ignorant towards the wredtling business at best, to just flat out dumb decisions. But as long as they are paying people and paying on time thats all that matters. I can see them wanting to cut costs, and i can see then underestimating what they could afford, but as long as theyre up front about it. I know a few indy wrestlera who have done TNA shots since Anthem took over and before and they said theyve been treated well by them. And no disrespect but its going ro take a lot for Anthem to be near Dixie levels of bad

If I'm not mistaken Matt Hardy and Shane Helms said that they needed to call Nordholm several times because they check never came.

Yep, to piggyback (no pun intended) off this, it's really not fair to knock the wrestlers themselves, not unless they're pulling the whole "You MARK HATERZ just don't want IMPACT to succeed!" schtick. They're there to work, they believe they got an offer that's good for them or their families, and that's the extent of things. Given Impact's clearly much looser contracts nowadays I can't begrudge anyone giving it a shot, though the "10% cut" nonsense is still stupid. Impact remains a spectacle that refuses to die, but I'm not going to implicate most of the wrestlers in that. I guess good for them getting D'Amore, Jacobs, and Callahan in charge of creative, but apparently early returns for some of the matches they laid out ain't great so far. I’m now jumping on this and thinking that, well, most of the people on their roster right now must see TNA as not even a Home but a stop just like WrestleCircus, PWG, AAW or whatever other non TV indie you can think of. So when I see people like Ethan Page, Dick Justice, even OVE and Callihan there, I then see they’re doing a tonne of other dates too rather than sticking with only TNA ones. So the reason I’m not mad at people going there is because, well, they don’t matter anymore. People do their shifts, then they go onto other indies in places that aren’t shacks with barely any plumbing. At this point, TNA is on the same level, or lower, than your Defys, your Beyonds, whatever. The literal only difference is that they have a TV deal. Yeah - if TNA is trying to lock people into exclusivity contracts and take a piece of their indie bookings, that's one thing. But if like you said, its just another indie stop for them where they get a per-appearance deal and some TV exposure then it makes sense to be on the show. Out of all the people, I was surprised to see Callihan there the most. That dude is on every non-WWE show imaginable (including an upcoming NJPW show apparently) and if he's on Impact then its gotta be some kind of VERY unrestricted deal.

But plenty of posts here And other places where every TNA thread has people posting about wrestlers not getting paid ,when that stopped what a year ago.

I really don't know why so many people act like by taking a deal he thought would be better for his family James Storm practically killed their dog or something. Seriously. Some times I feel like asking what some of those posters do for a living and how much they make, but I’m sure that wouldn’t go over well. Storm made a decision that he felt was best for him. Maybe it was bad, only he knows, but to sit behind a computer and ridicule him for that is ridiculous. Same with Punk leaving for MMA. God forbid someone make a decision that doesn’t involve handing their nuts to Vince.

Well I hope they treated Storm fairly for his decision and sacrifice eh probably not.
So today is the final taping? I really don't want to see Grado vs Ethan Page.

No Tessa yet? Hopefully that means Ricochet talked some sense into her. They probably went cold as soon as they couldn't get Ricochet in.

I would imagine so considering he’s part of the booking team of at least two promotions and, like you said, he’s all over the independent scene. I just find myself not wanting to rant at most of the people on the roster now because their entire roster besides one or two are full of journeymen ready to leave forever if ROH, WWE or New Japan come knocking with a cemented contract or they leave that contract. Now whether this is a good way of getting out of TNA’s money pit, I can’t say for sure but I’m not thinking it’ll be that productive for anyone except talent that say they’ve been on national TV.

- Taiji Ishimori def. Trevor Lee via pinfall following a 450 Splash to win the X-Division title, despite a lot of interference from Caleb Konley
- EC3 def. Matt Sydal and Fallah Bahh by decision to retain the Grand championship. Bahh dominated and won round one, but was knocked out of the ring early in the second, allowing the champ to take it. Round three was described as pretty even with lots of offense from Bahh, so the decision to give it to EC3 is controversial.
- Joseph Park introduces the newest member of the roster, Chandler Park. Chandler rolls up Josh Boldin(?) after Joseph punched him to win his debut.
- Dan Lambert def. James Storm via pinfall in a career vs. career match after lots of interference from ATT and KM. Two beer bottle shots to the head set-up the finish.
- The Cowboy delivers an emotional farewell, telling his family he’s gonna be home for a while now, and thanking his wife and kids, the fans, Dixie Carter, Jeff Jarrett and Bob Ryder before spraying beer on the crowd and leaving.
- LAX def. oVe via pinfall following their blockbuster/powerbomb combo to win the tag titles. The Crists were without Callihan, and sneak attacked Konnan and Ortiz before the bell to isolate Santana, who survived alone until Ortiz recovered.
- Kongo Kong (with Jimmy “The Princess” Jacobs) def. Kaito Kiyomayi via pinfall following a top rope splash in a total squash
- Lambert and ATT are out to brag about his win over Storm and talk trash about pro wrestlers. He introduces KM as the newest member of their squad. KM boasts about taking out Storm and Moose, which brings out Moose to just start wailing on him. Lashley gets involved, which brings out Eddie Edwards even things up. The faces end up cornering Lambert before his team pulls him to safety.
- The Grand champion cuts a promo calling Matt Sydal a choker, and gets in some shots about the local NHL team. EC3 issues a non-title open challenge which is answered by Petey Williams. Sydal comes through crowd and attacks, giving EC3 a DQ win. Petey looks pissed, but shakes hands with Matt to end the segment.
- Laurel Van Ness def. KC Spinelli via pinfall following an Unprettier to retain the Knockouts championship. Allie attacked the champ afterwards.
- Sonjay Dutt, Garza Jr. and Desmond Xavier def. Trevor Lee, Caleb Konley & Hakim Zane via pinfall (Xavier on Konley following his corkscrew senton bomb); Ishimori comes down with his belt and shakes hands with Dezmond after they tease some tension.
- Lashley and KM def. Eddie Edwards and Moose via pinfall (KM with The Ego Driver on Edwards); Lashley and Moose brawled to the back, and interference from Dan Lambert and ATT assisted KM in getting the win
- Kongo Kong (with Jacobs) def. Chandler Park (with Joseph Park) in a squash
- LAX def. oVe in a barbed wire match to retain the tag titles. Callihan was back with the Crists; Konnan and Homicide were with the champs. Trash cans, forks, tequila and barbed wire tables all were used. The finish saw Santana superplex Jake off a ladder through a table.
And like an idiot I first posted this in the wrong thread.
How the hell does a points per round system work with a triple threat match?

I do love me some James Storm. I hope he ends up in a backstage role in NXT or some such.
