You know what? I agree with the Alabama anger, even though I don't mind them. Or Georgia. I'm in western PA and I enjoy SEC football.
I didn't really have a dog in this fight, but I was pulling a little for Oklahoma since I have family there.
But bottom line; that was a hell of a game. Kudos to the Tide and Bulldogs for an entertaining football game.
That being said, I also think the playoffs should be expanded and UCF should be at least co-national champs. They pretty much acknowledged Nebraska and Michigan as co-champs back in the day.
Back when Charles Woodson was playing and Scott Frost was Nebraska's QB.

That says a lot considering you seem to never have anything good to say about the NFL either...

You could go to an 128 team playoff and the people will be screaming about why the 129th best team should have gotten in. The difference between basketball and football. In basketball you have 30 games to prove you should get in and if your resume still isn't good enough you still have the conference tournament to win it out right or impress the committee with a win or two. If you still haven't impressed the committee then it's your own fault. In football one play can cost you a season. That may be the case, but unlike basketball, you can make your games as tough or as easy as you wish. Basketball is such a singular sport that just one guy is all you need, but football requires many assets, making it more important to show who you beat rather than how much you beat them.

if Nick Saban is the M. Bison of college football, then Alabama is College Football's Shadaloo. Alabama proved that Clemson's victory against 'Bama last year was an fluke. I think it proved Clemson missed Deshaun Watson more than anything. It's not a fluke to play for the National Championship two years straight and win one of them.

I post on other boards, and I see behavior like this constantly. Some even make multiple accounts posing as different people. The internet is a strange place.

UCF- MY National Champions. Which means about as much as "He's not my president!" in reality...absolutely nothing. People on both sides have tried to pull that one over the last 20 years with no actual effect.

Seriously, is there any reason for me to care for next season?
Feels like Bama's already won the title in 2018 IMHO

People on both sides have tried to pull that one over the last 20 years with no actual effect. Eh, let people do what they want to cope. I don't think Alabama winning all the time is anywhere nearly as deadly than UConn winning the women's basketball championship every year because unlike women's basketball where there's only 4-5 quality players in an ocean of dead fish coming in for recruitment each year, there's hundreds and hundreds in football. The problem is that everybody wants to congregate to one school for an easy championship. I don't know about you guys, but I doubt Tua will be remembered 15 years from now in Alabama, whereas other programs could build statues of him.

Maybe not but I think he could truly be something special. As in, "Elite-level NFL QB" special.
