I get him giving credit to TNA/Impact for him and Roode being a thing, but I think AJ would have probably excelled someplace with or without Impact. Still, they did showcase him for a number of years, even if it feels like they went into holding patterns with him a lot. (I swear, like half of his matches total were with Daniels, it feels like) What TNA gave AJ was a chance to grow. The AJ in WWE today is a world class all-rounder, but he wasn't that until late in his TNA run. He was always a great athlete and worker, but through TNA AJ was able to do different things and learn what worked for him, the bad things and bad. He learned to work for tv, how to do comedy, how,to be a heel etc. In NJPW I'd argue he learnt to be a true star, but TNA gave him the building blocks that made him the superstar he is. That said, they could never use him in the way he'd earned.
