The She-Ra design in motion looks great. Looks blocky when there's little movement, but there's zip wrong with it at all.
The imagery of Adora in the sword looks damn great, almost looks like archival footage even.

Those models look better in motion. That's why the art team went with the simpler look, to help the characters visually flow better. That’s something many people who don’t understand animation seemingly have difficulty grasping, I find. If you want better animation, then the character designs need to be simpler. Look at the current Pokemon anime. The art is simpler, and sure I’m not happy about some of the designs, but the insane fluidity of the animation makes up for that in spades. It is the best animated Pokemon has ever been outside of the movies, imo. In the case of these reboots of cartoons from the 80’s, the designs are simpler so they can actually animate the bloody things. Nostalgia is a powerful drug, strong enough to make many people forget that those cartoons they hold so dear may have had incredibly detailed character designs, but at the sacrifice of the animation. They either went long periods between action scenes where characters barely moved, or they reused animations a lot, especially in action scenes.

It looks nice; I don't like the art style but that's a personal thing. Hopefully she catches on with the kids.

I watched this earlier as well. Dreamworks has another winner here, I feel. Especially after Voltron: Legendary Defender.

Boy, does she have an annoying voice... Really- why did they have to make her so shrill?

It definitely looks better in motion than it does in still shots like I expected.
probably not going to watch it... not out of like any kinda boycott or anything just out of not watching a lot of tv in general
and I'm sure Dreamworks is all scared of that ... especially since I'm pretty blatantly not the target audience.

Well just like the Denver the Last Dinosaur reboot, they are eliminate the whole secret identity thing from the original.

For those who are wanting more straight forward action cartoons, everything about that preview looks like that’s the intent. Really looking forward to seeing this.

Pros: -She-Ra in motion looks way better than the still shots we have gotten. -A more episodic kind of show? Cool. -Neat that in this reboot they ditched the whole secret identity thing. -Like Bow's design way more than his original Cary Elwes look. -Nice how there seems to be a subplot regarding Adora and Cat-Ra.
Cons: -Really dislike Shadow Weaver's redesign. It looks awful compared to the original (Granted, the original was not that creative but it still was better).

I saw the new trailer yesterday and I cried. Yes, I was that happy. She-Ra was my shit back in the day and I feel like I'm getting everything I like in a reboot.

Once again, this looks like a super fun remake. Might have to check it out after watching the Last Season of Voltron: Legendary Defender.
