Every year, the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress selects 25 films (feature length, shorts, live action, animated) as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" and thus need to be preserved for future generations and such. This year's list includes films such as the animated classic DUMBO, perennial holiday favorite DIE HARD, the stirring epic SPARTACUS, and comic book melodrama SUPERMAN, among others. You can read the full list of inductees here: www.loc.gov/item/prn-17-178?loclr=fbloc-natfilmregistryHere is the list of every film inducted since the Library of Congress set this up back in 1989: www.loc.gov/programs/national-film-preservation-board/film-registry/complete-national-film-registry-listing/And here is where you can send a list of films that you'd like to see inducted in the future: www.loc.gov/programs/national-film-preservation-board/film-registry/nominate/Yippee ki yay, FAN.

Superman was the first movie I ever watched.
Talk about an amazing movie. Still for my money, the best superhero movie ever made. You can't beat that level of genuine heart.
