Why should anyone be surprised? This isn't surprising at all that they did that.
This is the first year ever where they don't air any Christmas Classic specials. No Grinch, No Rudolph, nothing. Despicable, and they wonder why their ratings continue to fall.

They've been hyping they were playing every episode of the show for the last week of the year for like a month.
They usually have at least 2 commercials about it during every ad break...

Look on the bright side, at least they're kind enough to give schedule 30 minutes for Steven Universe!
But yeah, this is like the third or fourth time they've done this now. I can't even get annoyed anymore.

CN's committed to push TTG like WWE does with Roman Reigns.

Here's a depressing thought.
The newest show is UniKitty, that will debut New Years Day. Its made by the people behind Teen Titans GO.
That's their new Two-Man Power Trip, and it'll be for all if 2018.
Its exactly a Monkey's Paw with when they aired Johnny Test endlessly.

I don't despise this show to the extent a lot of folks do, but it feels like CN is trolling fans with it.
This is beyond Reigns. This isn't even an 80s Hogan push. This is sending out Robin and crew to talk in the ring for two and a half of the three Raw hours, and jobbing out Steven Universe and the Gems to the Titans in the show's only match.
Wait....this is Cartoon Network's 10/14/10 Impact.

Could it be that TTG is a huge draw with CN's target audience and that might be why they show it all the time?
My cousin's youngest loves the show and so does most kids 10 or so.

Wait....this is Cartoon Network's 10/14/10 Impact. You want to know what's also sad, CN f***ing ruined Boomerang as well If you want to rerun the hell out of TTG on CN go ahead because obviously at this point they are trolling the fans just as much as the actual show but yeah Boomerang has been ruined for a while with none of the old shit showing Regular Show has been dead since the finale, Adventure Time doesn't even get promo time despite it being its last season much less them showing any of the old episodes, and Steven Universe gets thrown a bone to get slaughtered by TTG anyway It's a shame because CN was having a renaissance after the debacle of CN Real/Live whatever that era was called. Chowder and Flapjack started it up while Adventure Time and Regular show carried the ball. TTG is not the most horrendous show ever but they obviously are 200% All in Mode with them.

Regardless of its success though it's just an absolutely awful way to do business. The show is a good solid ratings draw (although the times they actually promote Steven Universe and keep it in regular rotation it tends to beat it) but having the network completely reliant on it means when the audience does check out on it, you're out of luck because you've driven everything into the ground around it.

BTW, this is one primary reason why I really don't miss watching CN anymore. And this has been going on for yeeeeears... Yea since TTG has become the number one show they've gone all steam ahead with the same format for every show They did with the Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, the new unikitty show, and supposedly there was a Scooby Doo show in the making as well It's like they couldn't wait for Regular Show to end and now it's the same for Adventure Time and even Gumball. Steven Universe is surviving but when do they call it quits

Steven Universe is surviving but when do they call it quits Honestly I'm hoping season six is the end for Steven Universe. The show just stalls everything so much that I'd rather they just get to the point and go out on a positive instead of getting to season nine or something still waiting for the plot to wrap up. Plus really less time to work with means less time they can sink into pointless town episodes I don't care about.

Yea there's no doubt this is the biggest draw of CN which is why they are able to play it so much but they are putting it so far ahead of everything else that your solid number 2 picks look bad by comparison. As I said earlier Adventure Time is on its last season but doesn't even get promo time for their new episodes while Steven Universe and Gumball disappear for months at a time only to come back for a month and be gone again
