I guess you can throw in writers too.
Anyway, ever be a big fan of someone, absorb all their work, but then come across one thing that is just dreadful?
I guess you can also apply this to people who generally are enjoyable too, but just had one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb to you.
This is all subjective anyhow. I just wanted to say big turd in a thread title.
Anyway, what made me think of this is the show Girls. I love a lot of Judd Apatow projects, but that show is just dreadful. I’ve only seen an episode of two and some clips, but everyone in it is so unlikable and not in an It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia entertaining way. It’s more like a I want these people off my TV forever kind of way.

If I said the words "Paint Your Wagon," that should ring a few bells with any fans of Westerns...

Metallica and any of their albums after Burton died.
Peter Jackson,Loved his early stuff. Then he stopped making fun horror comedies and started making over long boring epics.

Love Iron Maiden but they have some dire stuff in their discography (IMO of course), paticularly The X Factor and A Matter of Life and Death.

I love George Romero and his "Living Dead" films, but I must admit to being really bummed that his last movie/statement on the sub genre he created was Survival of the Dead. Ugh....dude, you should have stopped with Diary. Yeah, that wasn't perfect either, but it was light years better than Survival.

I can forgive St. Anger but I cannot justify Lulu in any context. I actually love "St. Anger." My answer here is Morbid Angel and their ill-advised "Illud Divinum Insanus" album. Sadly, I have two copies because Season of Mist can't get rid of them fast enough.

I feel like Steven Spielberg has been releasing a steady stream of crap since the mid-2000's.

Metallic have made some amazing albums but there is no amount of polish for the double helping of dook known as "St. Anger"and "Lulu".
While I'm at it, Megadeth made "Risk" and Slayer made... uh everything after "Divine intervention"

I feel like Steven Spielberg has been releasing a steady stream of crap since the mid-2000's. Untitled Indiana Jones Project (announced) 2018 Ready Player One (post-production) 2017 The Post (directed by) (completed) The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara (pre-production) 2016 The BFG 2015 Bridge of Spies 2012 Lincoln 2011 War Horse 2011 The Adventures of Tintin 2008 A Timeless Call (Documentary short) 2008 Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 2005 Munich 2005 War of the Worlds Yeah, that's a pretty fair assessment. Only one of those (after Munich) I remember being highly acclaimed was Lincoln, and that's more due to it being the Daniel Day Lewis show than anything.

By the time he made “Encore” I think Eminem had figured out he could do pretty much anything and sell, so he used the album as a chance to screw around and amuse himself. It certainly showed.
