They should ban them from using all Batman characters. I still don't understand why Ra's al Ghul was on Arrow.

They say they can't use Deathstroke so just call him Slade Wilson or just Slade. Or go old school and call him The Terminator. They used that name in his last ep.

He started off as a Teen Titans villian but, he's evolved beyond that. If anything I'd call him a DC Universe villain with no specific hero association anymore, considering his fights with Batman, the JLA, etc. Besides, Deathstroke and Green Arrow had a mini rivalry in the 80s. But, it really picked up again during Identity Crisis. Ollie was the reason Slade lost his fight with the JLA in Identity Crisis (he caused Slade a lot of pain because he stabed him in the eye patch)! Deathstroke then took a contract to kill Oliver Queen but Ollie expected him and outsmarted him! Deathstroke teamed up with Costandine Drakon to kill the Arrow Family and almost succeded!

"We can use the established, complex Slade role on the popular CW DC shows where he's already a fan favorite and his actor has expressed wanting to do a spinoff series about him that's sure to succeed. Or we can embargo him from the Arrowverse and keep him locked to a tainted movie universe with an actor who hasn't otherwise touched the role yet."
"Choice #2 is obviously the logical one!"

Well in that case we should be saying bye bye to The Flash after this season.
I would have thought Justice League bombing would have clued them oh gee lets not make stupid choices anymore damn my hopeful positive thinking.

If they're that worried about people being confused about which is the real one, you could just...you know...use the same actor for both TV and Movies...

Um...I think Fox...nay, DISNEY, would have something to say about the latter. Now, I know they did something like that to Black Manta/Devil Ray on JLU. But how far can you take that? If it was that easy, after all, JLU would have had the Joker be in the Secret Society, only no one calls him "Joker." And so forth and so on. (An even more blatant example was Fox Spider-Man not being able to use Electro...so they used....Electro, only now he's Red Skull's son.

Wonder Woman was just a brief positive spurt, like say, Hogan in 1994 was. (Okay it worked a bit for money and tickets, work with me here...) We are still waiting for our NWO moment, DC...

Yeah it's stupid but honestly I really don't care anymore. Arrow has been absolutely terrible this year. I'd rather Deathstroke not be on the show so they don't have a chance to f*** up his character like they have with everyone else.

They should ban them from using all Batman characters. I still don't understand why Ra's al Ghul was on Arrow. I just wish they'd go consistent with pronouncing his name. It'd be both Raysh and Rahs in the same episode. Either one is fine, just pick one.

That's a shame, I love Manu in the role. I didn't know Weird Al was a wrestler.

Especially stupid because Deathstroke is a terrible choice for the villain of a Batman movie. One, he has almost nothing to do with Batman, two, Batman is the last hero on the planet who needs to bum someone else's villains, and three, the biggest strength of a great many Batman stories is the villain and how they play off him while Deathstroke while a great villain isn't flashy and isn't really an interesting contrast to Bruce.

So what's the point of having two different universes if a character must be written out of one if they're used in another?
Also, can studios please stop leaping in at the first sign of uncertainty? 8 times out of 10, they end up making it worse.

Yeah, I really don't get why they keep trying to force him as a Bat-villain. Deathstroke is much more heavily tied to Nightwing and Green Arrow than he ever was to Bruce...
