So it's the holiday season again, and I'm going to enjoy my annual tradition of watching the MST3K episodes Santa Claus Conquers the Martians and Santa Claus, as well as the Rifftrax of The Star Wars Holiday Special. Though this year, I will be adding the episode from the new season, The Christmas That Almost Wasn't, to the fold as well.
Ignoring the Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic stuff, while all three movies were goofy in their own way, which one was worse?
-Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, which even saying the name the premise silly, and with Dropo in there as well, all is crazy.
-Santa Claus, the weird Mexican film where Santa fights a devil that works for Satan and is friends with Merlin
or...
-The Christmas That Almost Wasn't, where a grouchy man tries to take the North Pole from Santa because of rent, and a wimpy lawyer is somehow involved.

I've seen both Joel's & Mike's Christmas episodes (yet to see Jonah's), but the MSTie version of Santa Claus does that film no justice, especially since the edited version fails to mention why Merlin is a friend of Santa Claus.
That's why I prefer the RiffTrax version.

Santa Clause Conquers the Martians is a really bad film.
But there is something about it. Everyone looked like they had soo much fun filming it. I can’t hate it.

Haven't seen The Christmas That Almost Wasn't si I can't comment on that.
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is a terrible film, but I can still sit and watch it. As a matter of fact, I watched the second half of it on Comet just the other day.
Santa Claus (1959) is just completely WTF from start to finish.

Yeah, Conquers the Martians has a lovably campy 60s vibe, kind of like something you'd see on the 60s Batman or The Monkees. The Mexican Santa Claus just goes all over the place.
