I say this everything time that this shows up but this is probably my favorite WWE gif. Rock’s “oh shit, this isn’t working” face is tremendous.

that entire segment with Steph was meant to get reactions like CM Punk's. it wasn't meant to be taken literally it was supposed to be taken that it was Stephanie and HHH being overly grandiose and greatly inflating HHH. The problem being the line between character and ego stroke with Steph and Ego is so fine as to be invisible. That and Phil pulled the rip cord shortly thereafter. Fact of the matter is the crowd is sick of it by now. We are begging for them to listen and they don’t. And they wonder why the crowds are shrinking when they insist on pushing Roman and the anabolic Hindu down our throats instead of letting characters get over and take a chance on them. I'm going to ask you politely not to refer to Jinder as the anabolic Hindu again. For one, it would be odd to refer to someone like Superstar Billy Graham as the anabolic Christian. Second, Jinder is Sikh and not a Hindu.

That HHH "Thank you for letting me play the game" promo where he hinted at retirement has got to be #1.
He SO wanted that "please don't go" or "one more match" or even just "No,no,no" chant and the crowd denied him that.
It was a perfect ending to maybe the last of HHH's laughably bad feuds, and the one where the supposed face wasn't even booked as the lesser of two evils.

Part of the problem with HHH is that, most likely due to his actions over the years, we might like him a lot as wrestling fans, but we don't have any warmth towards him. He's clearly desperate for the connection with fans that Shawn and Taker or even Punk has and it's just never been there.

Jinder Mahal is of Sikh origin. And don’t think that means you can call him an “anabolic sikh” instead. Not going to. Was more a comment on his addiction to steroids than his ethnicity or religion. But I get the message, I’ll lay off the background. But not his back acne. He deserves every bit of that.

But I refuse to take my foot off regarding what he is choosing to do with his physique. Like I said, especially giving his oozing back acne from Clash of Champions, he will have to be a big boy and take the slings and arrows.

When WWE tried to capitalize on Fandangoing and had Lawler go out, cut a cringe promo about it, present a cringe meme video package, cringly introduce Fandango and shout "everyone do they Fandango" during his entrance. The crowd was f***ing dead. I know its not the first time, but This is the first time i realized WWE couldnt let something get over organically and just needed to bastardize anything that showed signs of being popular. seriously Fandangoing showed some crossover mainstream appeal and WWEs attempt to capitalize it killed it dead immediatly. Kind of funny

What was the crowd doing during this? Because I know I was snoring It's just weird they tried to do that. It's the kind of thing that might look pretty cool as a still on a poster, but in practice just seems goofy.

Dolf wasn’t exactly feeling the love for Triple H that night either, was he? Honestly, he might have saved his career a lot of disappointment if he had booked it for Japan. Ah, VKM and Ego H... will you never learn? that entire segment with Steph was meant to get reactions like CM Punk's. it wasn't meant to be taken literally it was supposed to be taken that it was Stephanie and HHH being overly grandiose and greatly inflating HHH. I don't think it was meant to get infiltrated by the crowd with Daniel Bryan chants.

Imagine the pop if The Rock say screw it and rock bottom Reigns right there and then. They really should have called an audible and done it. Rock is pretty much heat-proof at this point, and Reigns would have finagled himself into a huge match.

Batista at the Hammerstein Ballroom. what were they thinking? I still have no idea. They could've thrown the crowd a bone and put in one of the old ECW guys, but they stubbornly continued the "import guys from the other brands to main event" thing which made the brand look like shit as well. The worst part was that everything had been pretty positive 'til then, as it was Punk's WWE TV debut and the fans went banana for him.

It's not just Rock realising that WWE using him to try and get Roman cheered didn't work, it's Roman's reaction of "Man, I just won the Rumble, i'm main eventing Mania, my cousin is here with me, this is so cool" in contrast.

Cause let's say Roman wins their lame tug of war and he has the belt in the ring; he didn't win the title, he's basically stealing it, and he looks like a moron holding up a belt he hasn't won. It's something early 90s Hogan would probably go through with.
