Bubba ain't a jive turkey. Boy is LEGIT a NASCAR driver. Probably going to need to get into a bigger team than RPM before he's a threat every single week, though. I know, but you kinda have to earn your spot with Hendricks or Joe Gibbs.

Picture time! I really didn't get to take many, so apologies for that. So going to the track, we went through One Daytona, which is a new entertainment center by the track. Places already there include a Bass Pro Shop, Ben & Jerry's, P.F. Changs, and other food and market places. Place is still under construction as they're building other restaurants and hotels there as well. View from my seat. We were in the highest section and near the back rows. Still a nice view. Opening ceremonies from my view. My phone wasn't out of my pocket when the flyover happened right above us. 72 car heading to the back after his day was done. 95 car getting towed. 9 car getting towed. Whole lot of people were bummed about this, as expected. Hasty taken photo of Truex Jr. going into pit road while his car was smoking. 41 car behind the wall. Busch fan near us was very vocal about this. Austin Dillon celebrating. Would've taken more, but people were exiting our way, so that was a no-go. Other notes: -Rented a scanner for the race. Channel for the MRN call (which was over the loudspeaker anyway) was 69. When they went to break, you got to hear them add some commentary of their own, usually about the track conditions and how they were holding up. Channel I was on the most was Wallace. Originally it was Elliott, but after the crash it was on 43 for a majority of the rest of the race. I quickly changed to other channels when something happened to a driver, like when the 48 crashed or when the 17 had to go into pit road ("Pull the tape off!"). -A lot of religious and political people trying to sell their own stuff on the way to the track. Also there was a girl scout selling cookies and I had to resist the urge to buy some thin mints. -Weather-wise, it was warm and sunny at the start but got chilly once the sun set. -A lot of people in the section hated Kyle Busch and Danica Patrick. -A bunch of seats next to us were empty for a majority of the race. Near the end, the people finally came. According to my dad, they seemed to have been people close to, and maybe even related to, Bubba Wallace. -Place was sold out, but a lot of people left once their driver was out. Bonus! Videos:

Is it just me, or does it seem like the money is just plain drying up in American auto racing in general?

So the week of Daytona, Hamlin went on Barstool Sports and joked that 70 percent of drivers take some sort of medication to focus on racing.
Then, after nearly wrecking Wallace, Bubba jokes that maybe Denny should take some Aderall, which pissed off Hamlin. Even though he make the same joke a few days before that.
Denny, do us all a favor. Stop being dumb as f***.

So with that weekend, Harvick became part owner of Atlanta Motor Speedway, right?

So F1 is launching F1TV this season. Commercial free live broadcasts of each race, FP and qualifying. As well as all in car cameras. Price will range from $8-$12 a month with a season long pricing option.

Price will range from $8-$12 a month with a season long pricing option. Considering ESPN is showing F1 instead of NBCSN, I'd invest in that. Anybody with common sense knows that aside from Monaco & Austin, Texas, those races will be on ESPN U or something for drone racing.

Harvick's car failed post race inspection for a broken widow support and a rocker panel not made of the correct material. He loses 20 points and all of the post season bonus points that come with a win. His crew chief was fined $50k, his car chief is suspended and SHR loses 20 points as well.
