Cool story out of NASCAR. Matt DiBenedetto, driver of the 32 Cup car for GoFas Racing, put a video on Twitter Tuesday morning saying the team had no sponsorship for this weekend's race in Phoenix and asking for help, hoping to be put in contact with someone that could help the team. Within hours, Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick pledged support, as well as announcer Darrell Waltrip. By the end of Tuesday, Zynga poker was lined up to be the primary sponsor, with support from Enlisted Nine Fight Apparel and Pit Stops for Hope.
DiBenedetto (or DiBurrito as he is known online for his love of the food) is one of the good guys of auto racing and this is cool to see. Personally, with all the off-season changes last year I was hoping to see him land a big time ride. He constantly outperforms the equipment he has and deserves a break.

Dat ending...especially as a Sebastien Bourdais fan. I feel gutted for Wickens; but I don't blame Rossi for anything. It'a two laps to go and you're right on the leader. Might as well go for it all or don't even bother to suit up every week. A shitty circumstance; but that was a racing incidient, in my opinion. The silver lining is that Wickens looked absolutely dominant the entire race up to that point. Hell, SPM did really well with Hinch finishing fourth, regardless. If this is the Robert Wickens we're getting for the rest of the season, then this season just got a whole lot more interesting,

If this is the Robert Wickens we're getting for the rest of the season, then this season just got a whole lot more interesting, That entire first half was so frustrating with all the yellows. I agree on the Rossi/Wickens incident. Lots of aggressive driving today, especially from Rossi - he really looked like he was not going to settle for second. I liked what I saw from Marco Andretti too, for the most part. Wickens was great to watch, I had heard a lot of hype for him and he delivered. King and Leist looked really good before their respective incidents too. I think the new car is going to be a success in terms of the quality of racing, can't remember who said it but one of the commentators' points was that drivers had to go to the limit to both pass and defend with the car now. And it was a great win for Bourdais. Hopefully they can start the year strong like last year, but get through May safely.

Great race to start of the Indycar season. Wickens was very impressive, as were King & Leist. These cars are great to look at and, if the rest of the season goes like St. Petersburg, are going to provide great racing. Was pulling for Wickens, but have no problem with Rossi's move. Wickens opened the door, you have to try and make the move.
