Results from Melbourne - Lance Archer defeated Elliot Sexton Archer did a promo before the match and said if he's learned anything from the meet and greet, it's that Melbourne sucks. He won with the Blackout in a physical match. - Yuji Nagata defeated Chase Owens Nagata hit a back suplex to win. The crowd wasn't too hot for this, but there were some chants for Nagata. - SANADA & EVIL defeated Bad Luck Fale & Gino Gambino SANADA low-blowed Gambino and rolled him up for the pin. - Cody Rhodes & The Young Bucks defeated Juice Robinson, KUSHIDA & Toa Henare The crowd was super into this match. The Bucks and Cody were the most over people in it, but Robinson and KUSHIDA received chants as well. Cody did the Kenny Omega Terminator pose and got mostly booed by the crowd. The Young Bucks looked confused but did a triple dive with him. Henare was pinned after the Bucks hit him with the Meltzer Driver. Following the match, Cody cut a promo and mentioned that his father also wrestled at Festival Hall. Cody said the Bullet Club is fine, but Matt Jackson replied that it isn't because things aren't right with Omega. They filmed a bit for Being the Elite where the whole audience screamed "f*** The Revival." - Damien Slater & Marcus Pitt defeated Robbie Eagles & Mick Moretti This had lots of good wrestling, but the crowd wasn't really into it. Slater and Pitt won with a double-team cutter on Eagles. - Jay White defeated Slex White used the Blade Runner to win. - Minoru Suzuki defeated Jonah Rock The crowd loved Suzuki. He won with the Gotch piledriver and received a standing ovation from the fans. After that, he grabbed a mic and said "I will be back" to a huge pop. - Kenny Omega & Guerrillas of Destiny defeated Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii & Rocky Romero Omega and Okada got the loudest reactions on the show, but The Young Bucks, Cody, and Suzuki were close. Tanga Loa and Romero worked much of the match, so the pop was massive when Omega and Okada finally faced off and did their moves. The Bullet Club team won after Omega hit the Cross Rhodes and the One Winged Angel on Romero. Omega did a promo after the match and said this part of Bullet Club is fine, but Cody is not and he will deal with him. Omega thanked the crowd to end the night.

Went to the Melbourne show last night, was a lot of fun. Kenny, the Bucks, Okada and Suzuki were super over. Are these shows on New Japan World? No, they are all house shows. There were some cameras, so I think they might be put up onto NJPW World.

I wish I’d have tried to go now, but I was broke from all my available money being used to help with our family moving house.
Might try for the PROGRESS show coming out in a couple of months time.

Results from Sydney
- KUSHIDA defeated Rocky Romero
The fans loved both guys. KUSHIDA won by submission with the Hoverboard Lock.
- Yuji Nagata defeated Jack J. Bonza
They essentially had a squash match, with Nagata beating him with a backdrop hold. There was nothing wrong with this, but it was too short.
- SANADA & EVIL defeated Robbie Eagles & Mick Moretti
This was the only match where the fans were solidly behind the locals, though there were plenty of Los Ingobernables de Japon fans in the crowd. EVIL got the pin on Eagles in a very fast-paced bout.
- The Bullet Club (Kenny Omega, Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens & Guerrillas of Destiny) defeated TMDK (Jonah Rock, Damian Slater, Marcius Pitt, Slex & Elliott Sexton)
The best match of the night up to this point. The Bullet Club was super over, especially Omega. Everyone hit their big moves and all the Aussies got in some great offense, including an interesting spot where Slex got heat on Omega.
In the end, Omega hit the One Winged Angel on Slater for the finish. Omega spoke to the crowd after, mentioning that it's funny they're booed in Japan but cheered in Sydney. He thanked everyone and pointed out that Fale helped put the tour together.
- Minoru Suzuki & Lance Archer defeated Juice Robinson & Toa Henare
Everyone was into everything Suzuki did. He was probably the third most over wrestler of the night (behind Okada and Omega), with the fans singing along to his theme music before and after the show.
The match was fun and ended when Suzuki hit Henare with a Gotch-style piledriver. Suzuki beat the heck out of Henare for most of the bout. The crowd also loved Suzuki when he did a brief post-match promo.
- Tomohiro Ishii defeated Gino Gambino
This match started slow -- there were mostly NJPW fans in the crowd and they clearly didn’t know many of the Australian wrestlers. Despite that, this got a big reaction by the end.
Ishii gave Gambino a lot and it was very back and forth. The ending seemed slightly botched as Ishii appeared to deadlift Gambino for a brainbuster. Ishii then stormed to the back, but maybe that’s how he is all the time.
- Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Jay White & Will Ospreay) defeated The Bullet Club (Cody Rhodes & The Young Bucks)
The crowd hated Cody, and he played up being the bad guy throughout the match. There was a lot of comedy in the opening minutes, but it soon turned into a sensational bout and was probably the match of the night.
The MVP for the show had to be Ospreay, who was on fire. Everyone was great, though. The ending came when Okada hit Matt Jackson with a Rainmaker for the pin.
Tour concludes tomorrow at Perth

I think that what we can take from this is that TMDK & Robbie Eagles will probably be making appearances in New Japan as it's essentially a try-out for them. Eagles in particular would kill it as a junior heavyweight and I would bet that Adam Brooks would have been on the tour if he wasn't in the UK at the moment. Kinda shocked that they didn't use Dowie James for it but I can only assume that his real job would have stopped him from doing the Adelaide & Perth shows

I know that these Aussie guys are basically their equivalent of indie workers but isn't it a bit counterproductive to bring in the NJPW crew and job all of the locals out to them? I think ROH had the same trouble a few years ago before the ROH guys started getting some wins. It reminds me of the 1982 Memphis book I have where there was some discussion of why Jonathan Boyd of the Sheepherders legit hated Americans, with Luke Williams noting that they started out in Jim Barnett's Australian World Championship Wrestling promotion in the early 70s as local jobbers for the bigger American stars and it made Boyd really bitter.
Anyone know the attendance for these shows?

The tour has been considered a financial success as they sold a lot of tickets and merchandise and feel they should have brought more with them.
Given that Australia has no means of watching New Japan they are quite pleased with the tour.

Tour concluded today
- Young Bucks defeated Juice Robinson & Toa Henare
Fun match with a lot of comedy. Young Bucks are very charismatic performers live, and both Juice and Henare gave strong showings. Henare comes off as having a potential superstar presence. Young Bucks won with the Meltzer Driver.
- Lance Archer defeated Elliot Sexton
Solid big man match with a fair amount of comedy in it. Sexton is a member of TMDK and former MCW Heavyweight Champion. Archer won with his finish.
- Guerrillas of Destiny defeated Yugi Nagata & Mareko
Mareko is one of wrestlers trained through Fale Dojo and he was making is pro debut here. He's a thickly built Samoan and showed potential. Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa are both very entertaining to watch up close. Tama does a lot of little subtle humour for the crowd that you sometimes miss on TV. GOD won with Tama using the Gun Stun on Mareko.
- Bullet Club (Kenny Omega, Bad Luck Fale, Gino Gambino & Chase Owens) defeated TMDK (Marcius Pitt, Damien Slater, Jonah Rock & Slex)
Good 8-man tag match. TMDK did not look out of their depth against Bullet Club. Crowd was split, mostly supporting TMDK who were formed in Perth, but cheering for Kenny when he was in.
Wanted to make a special mention of how good Marcius Pitt was in this match, and I very much hope that him and Slater get brought into NJPW on an ongoing basis. Jonah Rock was also impressive and him vs Fale got a big reaction. Omega tried to get a Chase is on the Case chant going for Owens. Omega pinned Slex with the 1 Winged Angel to win the match.
- Minoru Suzuki defeated Davis Storm
Storm is a veteran of Australian wrestling who was one of the founders of EPW in Perth. He also did sometime training at the Inoki LA Dojo in the mid-00s. He was very well received by the crowd as was Suzuki who is fascinating to watch in person. Suzuki won with the Gotch Piledriver in a short but intense match. Storm took a series of chops that were so brutal his chest was red afterwards.
- Jay White & Tomohiro Ishii defeated Mick Morretti & KUSHIDA
Good match. Morretti is a Sydney based wrestler who made a very good impression. White won with the Blade Runner on Morretti. After the match KUSHIDA got in Ishii and White's face in a way that came off like he was challenging them.
- Cody defeated Will Ospreay and Robbie Eagles in a triple threat match
Ospreay and Eagles have excellent chemistry together. Eagles should be in the BOSJ tournament this year. Cody got the biggest reaction of the night, and came off like a total main event talent.
At the start of the match Ospreay pointed out that one half of the crowd was cheering Cody and the other half were booing him. This became a thing throughout the whole match, with the crowd playing along with one side of the room cheering him and the other booing him the entire time.
Cody won by pinning Eagles after Ospreay had hit the Oscutter and throwing him away. After the match, Cody tried to do the One Winged Angel to Eagles, but Ospreay stopped him and hit Cody with the Oscutter and then Eagles hit a 450. Possibility that the match might lose something on tape rather than live, but definitely a must-see once it is available.
- EVIL & SANADA defeated Rocky Romero & Okada
Good match, everyone involved was over but it also suffered a little following on from the 3-way. EVIL beat Romero with the STO. Surprisingly for me, they didn't do an angle where Okada chased LIJ away. Instead EVIL and SANADA did the closing promo.
