I'm too annoyed by each of them to even explain. Just look through the boards, and you'll find them. Damn, this is frustrating. Freaking PC America, these days.
As a journalist, I feel fortunate I've yet to cover any stories like these.

All three stories are mind numbingly dumb, there should be a voting option on that. By the way, that kid in the knight gettup is does not help the plight of any nerds or geeks.

I think the knight one is just funny and pathetic, the feeling a boobie one is just damn sad, I have to go with that one.

It's not just the US that's suffering the PC thugs. Over here at the moment people are trying to ban Christmas Decorations outside because it could offend people because it's not their belief.

That fact that people would think a 4 year old did that on purpose makes my brain explode.

Thats extremely common here. Hell, they had to take the Christmas trees at the airport in Seattle down for a while cuz people complained, but they're back now. Common sense prevails sometimes.

Banning piggy banks and getting rid of Porky Pig come to mind.

only thing even close to as bad as the 4yo getting suspended is what I heard on the radio thismorning, about a principal giving detentions and suspensions for saying Merry Christmas, and he's even wanting the 4th offence to be an expulsion

That principal needs a punch in the groin big time.

Maybe not on the same level, but there were some people a couple years ago who wanted Sesame Street to change Cookie Monster into a character who eats healthier foods. Considering how long Sesame Street has been on, it's likely that these complaining parents grew up watching Cookie Monster. I wouldn't want to look forward to hearing the hairy blue machine screaming "VEGGIES!!!! Arrgggghhh!!!"

The 4-year-old thing is mind boggling. I'm sure he didn't go up to the woman and say "HONK HONK! NICE RACK!" I think it speaks more to the teachers' aide being unprepared and unsuited to her job that THIS is what she's thinking of when a kid hugs her.
It's funny because my mom was an elementary school teacher and before she retired (4 years ago), she would tell me that they weren't allowed to touch the kids AT ALL. Even to hug them. Which, she said, is impossible. They always want hugs.

Some parents do not teach thier kids the nicesities.

ROFL. I'm so glad my son's going to a preschool that's got history and teachers with sense. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to interact with others. I'd hate to see her react to someone bumping into her at the grocery store.
