I still think it's extremely petty to hold all fans and the team to actions taken by some idiots, especially when New England are far from effing saints. No they aren't, but they are not what the Philly fans are legendarily known for. Like I said in the AFC Title game, I was rooting for Jacksonville. But since New England beat them, I am going to choose the lesser of two evils here. Calling Philly the lesser of two evils is asinine to me. Calling Philly Fans higher on a poll than any other fanbase is ridiculous too, again, every fanbase sucks, Philly gets under the microscope more than most. And holding that against the fans who have just waited years to see their team do it and never did a thing wrong in their lives is horse shit.

No, I think being historic assholes who today mocked the Vikings Skol thing (and it was nearly a whole stadium doing it) when the Super Bowl will be in Minnesota shows how assholish you guys are and tend to be. Do I even need to remind you of the time you cheered Michael Irvin breaking his neck or the time you threw batteries at Jayson Werth or the time one of your fans intentionally puked on a kid who had the gall to wear other team colors or the time you had a congressman try to dispute the Super Bowl loss and a World Series loss. You have earned your microscope image and crying it isn't fair just makes it worse.

Who cares about mocking a chant. Also; most of these examples you bring up is ONE guy doing a bad thing. I don't condone any of it, but it's still a tiny majority of people. The only time the media reports anything bad that happens at other stadiums is literally when someone gets murdered or brutally attacked, anything that happens here makes headlines - no matter what it is.

The only time the media reports anything bad that happens at other stadiums is literally when someone gets murdered or brutally attacked, anything that happens here makes headlines - no matter what it is. I don't know........Cleveland has bottlegate (ironically against the Jags). We remember that Atlanta had to pump in fake noise. Hell, Toronto had Toronto Strong signs a few years ago to mock the Boston Strong which came to exist to rally after a terrible tragedy happened. Oh and I was mentioning mocking the Skol chant as with you knowing the Super Bowl is in Minneapolis (the home of that), it has a sense of unabashed arrogance. You know they will remember that and probably root for New England because of it, but you don't f***ing care and would still probably grab your junk at those fans who may care. The shit I mentioned was more than one f***ing person. More than one person threw the batteries at Jayson Werth. More than one person cheered Michael Irvin breaking his neck. More than one person has intentionally puked on a fan. Hell, there was a Niners game from years ago where some poor Niners fans went to Veterans Stadium and got assaulted bloody. Like I said to someone else, crying about how you get a bad rap on an image your team has earned and at times laughed about (throwing snowballs at Santa gets a laugh from Eagles fans as a point of pride) doesn't help your case and it never will. I think your fandom is the only one who complains about your image instead of just accepting that it happens and it's earned before moving on.

Philly is the only one I know that cries every year about their perception.n First, define every year. Second, quantify what the percentage of fans do. You're telling me that a good number of Pats fans aren't defensive about Spygate and other allegations?

Yo I don't often get roused in here as I don't follow the NFL much if at all anymore.
But checking in, holy shit guys settle your tea kettles.

You're telling me that a good number of Pats fans aren't defensive about Spygate and other allegations? Every year, I almost always have to bring this up that I do not like Philly fans based on their history of douchebaggery based on their history and every year, they try to complain about how we are being unfairly judged and how the lamestream media is making us worse than we are. Oh people can be defensive about their team and that's fine, but when it comes with themselves as a whole. Most of them just say "well that isn't me". Meanwhile Philly fans will say "That isn't us".

I think your fandom is the only one who complains about your image instead of just accepting that it happens and it's earned before moving on. AGAIN; who cares about mocking the Skol chant? What is it some sacred chant to be respected by all? I've never even heard of this chant before this postseason lol. Why would anyone in Philadelphia care about someone rooting against us? The whole wave the team has been riding is based on being overlooked, that would just help the narrative. Jayson Werth never had batteries thrown at him, it was J.D Drew; and it was two fans. Two people. Those are the people who should be held accountable, not millions of other people. You keep regurgitating points I have heard countless times, nobody knew Michael Irvin had a broken neck. Michael Irvin himself: "It was a compliment for Philly to cheer me,'' said Irvin, who later learned that a narrowing of the spinal column made it too dangerous for him to continue his career. "Philly wasn't cheering my injury. They were cheering my departure. I also know people at the game, people who said a lot of fans were cheering because the Eagles made a good play on defense. One person puked on a fan, a fellow Phillies fan. I have never heard of another incident. Either you're being ignorant to the facts or you're flat out telling a lie. Finally though, thanks for going back to old faithful, the snowballs! The incident that the national media just can not forget! Why not laugh about it? Should we be sitting here, wringing our hands with a tear gently rolling down our cheeks, saying "never again?" like Philly fans ran onto the field and murdered poor ole Saint Nick? That's something that happened 50 years ago. There are probably more fans here that are more annoyed by that to be honest. Of course some people are going to own it, I bet a lot of those people feel they don't have a choice because it's always brought up. The dead horse will continue to be beaten. www.sportstalkphilly.com/2017/12/philadelphia-eagles-fans-snowballs-santa-clause-nfl-draft-philadelphia.html

I was nice about this once... If you're going to shit on a team's fanbase take that elsewhere. The blanket statements and bitterness is tiring. Every team has some shit fans and horror stories but right now the ones in here are the worst. ...But this shit ends now. The bitterness and anger is disgusting. Grown ass men and women acting like this over a game. And it is the same damned people every time. If you want to keep this up, you will find yourself doing it somewhere else for a length of time yet to be determined.

Man that game was an absolute murder. Where was the Vikings entire team? Glad I didn't watch. I was pulling for the Eagles, and hope they beat the Pats, but man oh man, I expected more of a challenge to get there.

Forget the Super Bowl. God forbid we have an AFC-CG game without New England.
The last time we had such an occurence was so long ago, Phil Jackson was Lakers coach and Peyton Manning was still a Colt.

Insane to think that the Pats were a 2 point conversion in Denver from 4 straight Super Bowl appearances

I was rooting for the vikings but congratulations to the eagles on reaching their first super bowl. Good luck against NE! The Eagles have been to two previous Super Bowls. 1980 and 2004.

I was drinking during the game, so I have to ask, who was that guy QBing the Eagles?? He was wearing a Nick Foles Jersey. But I’m not so drunk as to believe that was actually Nick Foles.

OK, I gave the Patriots their due, but now I'm about to unleash a rant:
18 years.
18 freaking years.
The Dracula of football.
Rasputin.
The team that seemingly cannot be killed.
I'm tired of Brady.
I'm tired of Belichick.
I'm tired of them basically winning with scheme instead of talent.
I'm tired of them basically making 10 point 2nd half deficits feel like a tie game.
I'm tired of them reducing the AFC East to the worst division in football.
I'm tired of them beating more talented teams with basically a bunch of small slot guys.
I'm tired of them never having to play a Wild Card Game.
I'm tired of mercenaries like Brandon Cooks, Kenny Britt, James Harrison, Gilmore (as a Bills fan, it makes my blood boil that he had to sell his soul to New England to actually do something meaningful).
I'm tired of the seemingly never ending media worship over all things Pats (Don't get me started on SKip 'BRADY HAS NEVER PLAYED AT A HIGH LEVEL' Bayless
I'm tired of being tired of their seemingly never ending greatness.
I'm tired of their spoiled rotten fanbase who will probably not even rank this a top 10 greatest win in team history.
I'm tired of it all.
I have a severe case of Patriots fatigue, Brady Burnout, you name it.
And after last year vs. Atlanta AND the Seattle game AND today.... it's getting to the point where I seriously wonder why do I bother with the NFL until they retire.
This is why I was so happy when Denver knocked them off 2 years ago.
Hard to believe at 1 point New England had a 9 year stretch with 0 titles and only 2 SB appearances.
I get it, Brady's great.
But you can only put up with so many ways of hearing ZOMG BRADY'S THE GOAT!
When he retires, he will not only go down as the best ever, but he will have singlehandedly ruined dozens of teams who have never been there.
We cry out for fresh blood, something refreshingly different- but no, we get another year of the most annoyingly great QB ever
When Brady and Belichick retire, when the AFC stops being the All Foxboro Conference and the NFL stops being the National Foxboro League, the NFL will be better off.
31 NFL fanbases will throw a damn parade.
Well, enough is enough and hopefully it'll be time for a change in 2 weeks.
Sanders, BRV, I hope your team falls flat on their face and is second best because the last thing we need is a Bama/Patriots double dip.
