I’m loving these podcasts and I can’t wait till Hogan shows up and you get your opinions on that whole debacle.
Regards the Rumble 93 commentary with Gorilla and Heenan is such a contrast to there excellent Rumble 92 commentary. It’s incredible the difference. And Macho trying pin Yoko is as dumb as anything. Oh just imagine if he’d won and they had Macho v Bret as the Main Event for WM9 that would’ve been so good.

Regards can they do the whole face v face thing debate with Bret and Macho for 9 well both Bret and Savage did that at Summerslam 92 against both Bulldog and Warrior, so it could’ve worked in Jmo. Hell if you guys do requests, Summerslam 92 would be cool to hear your thoughts on ( I say that as someone from the U.K. )

I think it would be a lot of fun. SummerSlam 1992 is one of my favorite ones and I'd for sure want to do that!

Are you guys on iTunes? I could use a new podcast, and this era of wrestling fascinates me.

Yes, we are! Just search ICOPOD under the Podcast section and it should pop right up. I say that because I just tried doing it to make sure it was working and panicked when it didn't show up. Then, it was under "Songs" and while I do attempt a few songs, it certainly isn't music.
You probably didn't need to know that. But, yeah, we are on iTunes. I hope you enjoy it!

It's just two friends reviewing and chatting about wrestling. That's the style/format we're going with. I might spice it up starting with episode three, which we are recording tonight. Anyway, thanks for giving it a shot!

LISTEN HERE: icopod.podbean.com/e/episode-6-wwf-raw-2221993-hogans-back/First saw this as a 10/11 year old and even back then I knew Hogan was not gonna be a Tag Champ. Back then I thought wow Hogan taking on Bret for the belt, that should be great, why don’t they do that ! 😀 Hogans politicking for the belt back, then doing nothing but a promo on a beach until King of the Ring was just bad. It was bad then and looks even worse now. Hell it was bad for the show too. Even as a kid I noticed the difference between Bret and the others showing up on Raw every week and Hogans taped promo and doing nothing. I can’t believe Vince didn’t realise how much it hurt his product having his Champion literally do nothing. You guys mention Hogan being caught out on his steroid lie. That was about himself but he get caught out again over his trashing of the WWF belt in Japan. He’d deny he said it but didn’t know he’d got caught on tape 😂 Anyway as for Jimmy Harts face turn, that just didn’t work and just felt off to me. It’s not like Hogan needed a manager anyway. Beefcake was just meh and his return basically counted for nothing since it was really just all about Hogan As for Shawn/Tatanka long term, Shawn keeping the belt makes sense though having a guy with an undefeated streak not win a belt really limits him in what they can do with him in Jmo 🤔

Well this has enspired me to check out this forgotten Gem with Fatu if nothing else 🤨 Regard Savage, to this day I don’t know why they didn’t have him and Bret for WM9, that seems like such a wasted Main Event right there 🤷♂️ Iv seen the tape of him and I’m guessing he was just pissed off with him. Seriously Bartlett adds nothing to the product, just the opposite. You weren’t kidding when you said the Fatu/Bret better without commentary. Bartlett really does ruin it. How many more episodes is he on Raw for 😩 Doing though was an awesome heel though 👍 Luger v Perfect needed more build than what but they aren’t the only ones, that goes for the rest of the Mania card, have we got anything for Razor/Backlund either . Now I think about Razor v Perfect instead following on from Survivor Series and Backlund whose all American character then seems tailor made for the Narcist bad guy character to face, in Jmo

Hey, I randomly gave episode 4 (no rhyme or reason for starting there!) a shot and ended up just leaving it on and listening to the whole thing in one go. I really enjoyed it. I love this period and all the fine detail about obscure moments on Superstars, house shows etc.is fascinating. The tone is good, too; just nice laid back genuine riposte between friends. I'm heading back to episode 1 now. Keep up the great work! Thanks
