I know he was a big star but how did Antonino Rocca end up on commentary? He's basically speaking a different language, I can barely understand what he's trying to say.

On the first episode there’s really just a replay of superstar billy Graham’s bicep

Vince Sr. was always loyal to former stars, he'd give money to former wrestlers who'd come backstage to shows. I read that he was a night guard at a warehouse after his hot period ended.

I just need to think of a role that you'd be suited for." Rocca: "Tentekkfjkg lknissjych60khnmmh aburwqmlav." Vince Sr.: "I agree. You're a natural for commentary."

Some of these matches are hard to watch.
One job guy match went almost 8 minutes.
The 84 Run of episodes might have been better to put up. With Vince starting his takeover they made for some fun shows

We think this is all WWE has or is this everything they are ready to post at the moment? I'm kind of optimistic this will be like WCCW and we may still get episodes from time to time to fill some holes. And, as others have stated, there are later runs, plus Championship Wrestling yet to come.

Aww, 10/21/1978 isn't there. ☹ (The Peter Maivia heel turn on Bob Backlund.) But we get a lot more of the High Chief. Dude was awesome!
Glad to see Valentine breaking Strongbow's leg angle, though. Hysterical how he's lying ringside while they still ran matches.

Watching an episode from 1980 and it amazed me how good Ken Patera looked in his prime. As somebody who has only ever seen him in his Richard Simmons phase during the late 80's, it was quite eye opening to see him look good.

Late '70s/early '80s arrogant athletic asshole Ken Patera is the best Patera. If Wizard is there, they made such a big show of taking that bitchin' jumpsuit off.

Yeah I just posted that but... seriously? What language was he speaking? It seemed to be a combination of throat clearing noises and broken English. At first I thought it must have been his first time on commentary because he was so bad. But Wikipedia says he did commentary on WWF shows from 1972-1976. It's amazing that a guy who could barely communicate maintained a job on commentary for that long! And people think they'll drop Saxton for being a bad commentator..

Rocca and Senior had a bad breakup when they brought Rogers in; Rocca didn't want to share top billing. Rocca ended up running outlaw shows against him in 1964, failing miserably.
After a cooling off period (gee, this sounds familiar), Senior offered him the announcing gig.

More All-Star episodes are coming. A few from 1981 are already up.

I need me some Superstars. I wish that would get resolved and go up.

Pre 84 episodes are so hard to watch especially without the Houseshow promos

Those were great days, watching All-Star Wrestling on Friday nights and Championship Wrestling on Saturdays on WWOR Channel 9.

I decided to watch a few episodes since this was before I became a wrestling fan. The 11/22/80 episode was fine. Then, there's a weird problem. I start the 11/29/80, with Tony Garea & Rick Martel. Then, the episode shuts off and then starts to play the 12/6/80 episode, which was exactly the same show.

It was listed when I started watching it and then it disappeared, unless it was just me and I just thought I saw 11/29, but they never had the episode to begin with. That could be possible.

Never mind. It was just me. There was no 11/29 episode to begin with. It was my mistake.
