Bring it on. It doesn't matter if it's aimed at a younger demographic. I'm just happy to see this IP return.

It's an odd choice to base a children's preschool show on, but alright. It's going to be funny when people get inevitably indignant about it.

It's going to be funny when people get inevitably indignant about it. I'll be honest, after that Peter Rabbit idiocy a few weeks ago I wouldn't be shocked if a lot of criticism comes from parents who think the show is advocating their kids unsafely fly around with rockets.

I think it kind of works if it wants to sort of be the pre school version of Iron Man with Rocketeer elements too to teach kids about technology and the like. Sounds cool to me. Better use, honestly, than any kind of sequel that doesn’t quite get the same feel.

A girl as Rocketeer? Cue the "Damn you SJWs" in 5...4...3...
(It's a JOKE, just so you know...)

Sounds like it could be fun. Hope they keep the original outfit though. And that Timonthy Dalton does a voice.

Guess it depends on how young they are aiming with this... but seems odd if it's for like really little kids. That said an animated show is probably a better route to take than a flat out sequel movie like they originally said. and airplane-mechanic uncle, Ambrose, who join her on epic adventures." So that's what Dean's been up to during his injury

Considering that the Rocketeer is based off of a non-Marvel comic, I'm surprised that the current Disney want anything to do with the franchise.

It's been a cult hit for years, so I'd say a lot of people at Disney currently are of the age when this came out or became a cult hit. Also I reckon doing something like this might keep certain rights for the property in house?

I don't mind The Rocketeer being a young girl, but setting it in modern times seems like such a waste. It seems like a concept that works best as a period piece.

I will give it a shot. But it is gonna be hard to top what Dave Stevens did with the original series. I tried the comics from a few years back that weren't written or drawn by Stevens, didn't really care for them.
But hey this new cartoon might get some kid to watch the old film. And then maybe just maybe go read the Stevens Rocketeer comics.

Probably better I glanced at the story before making my Naked Gun 33 1/3 reference. That may have turned out badly.

My son's favorite show in the world is on there and its for 8-10 year olds. It sounds like their trying to do a girls counterpart to a show on there called Mission Force One which is also science and tech based though it takes place in outer space.
