Somehow I seem to have escaped it this winter and it's been the coldest in ages.

Came close a couple of times, but always managed to avoid falling completely by remembering my penguin documentaries and taking slow small steps across the icy terrain.

Nope. The time I fell into a surprise split was enough.

I live in Clearwater, Florida, I haven’t had to walk on ice.

Not the ice but I wiped out in the snow once. I was running some groceries into the house and as I was going out for another bag I took a big bump right on my ass. It’s good to have little moments like that to keep you humble. Haha.

Oh yeah. I hate the ice, and I hate living in the northeast.

Twice, and being in Canada, I'm surprised it wasn't more. The first time, I actually hit the back of my head and got knocked loopy for an hour or two. The second time, I screwed up my knee for a few days. Not fun.

I almost did at work once, but I was next to one of the columns outside the store, and managed to use it to keep myself up.
A few minutes later, there was a customer that wasn't as lucky.

Twice. I have a mild form of muscular dystrophy so it is already hard to get back on my feet WITHOUT ice under my boots. The second time I literally had to crawl to get back to my porch in order to have something to pull myself back up with. Do you know how much it hurts to crawl on a knee you busted up by falling on it during a fall, especially over ice? I do.

I've came extremely close a few times. I'm finding for me it's worse wen getting out of the car if thee's ice built up where I place my bad leg. With the ankle being in a fixed position ice makes it to where I have less contact area with the ground on that foot.

I came close on our back stairs in December. I didn't realize it was slick, went out with the trash, and my right foot slid right out. Thankfully I had the left on stable ground and was able to plant myself enough that the worst that happened was I dropped the trash bag and tore it a bit. Better it than me, heh.

Myself? a few "almosts" when I was in a hurry.
My car and I have had some interesting adventures getting out of parking lots with steep grades.

Once in a parking lot (tucked the head, took it as a back bump), and once on some stairs.

Haven't actually hit the ground, but I've lost footing and tweeked my back trying to not fall a couple times this winter.

Ever since Kevin Nash slipped and fell on ice, I've had a heightened spidey sense when there is ice on the ground. I keep picture him slipping, falling, and his fanny pack flying in the air.
