Yes, but how do you feel about Rusev’s career in the past couple of years? In seriousness though: I could see being upset with his booking before Rusev Day became a thing, because he wasn’t doing anything at all at the time. But ever since teaming with Aiden he’s become the most popular guy on Smackdown, and he just had back-to-back matches with the World Heavyweight Champion and the #1 Contender, one of which he only lost by disqualification and both of which he was treated as a threat and not just a random jobber. Sure, I’d love for rusev to win more often and get a title reign or two, but the fact that he’s more over now than he’s ever been before tells that they’re doing something right with him. On topic: Since all these greeting cards are for American holidays, does that mean that Rusev is finally embracing America, or is it a fiendish plot to get us all to replace our holidays and only celebrate Rusev Day? In addition, the fact that Rusev Day has worked shouldn't be a surprise. First off, dying monster heels always get packaged with a comedy gimmick when they've been thoroughly beaten and have no value as a monster anymore. It is how WWE does things. However, we knew way back during the Rusev/Ziggler over Lana storyline, and how Rusev and Summer Rae killed themselves trying to get that terrible storyline over that it was "Wow. Rusev has incredible comic timing. When they inevitably make him a comedy guy, he's probably going to be fantastic in the role." This is that time, and he IS fantastic at it.

I'd like to see a Rusev Day BBQ segment happen on Smackdown this July.
