I want to preface this by saying I am in no way, shape, or form trying to start or instigate any religious debate here or break any rules; Now, That name reminds me of the South Park episode where the United Atheist Alliance, Unified Atheist League and Allied Atheist Alliance were in a three-way world war simply over whose name was the best. I imagine in a years time if this trend continues we'll have: XFL (Extreme Football League) AAF (Alliance of American Football) AFL (Arena Football League) NFL (National Football League) UFA (United Football Alliance) AFA (American Football Association) UFA (United Football Association) UAAFL (United Alliance of American Football Leagues) and of course, all of Europe reminding us all that none of those are actually football. There was a couple years ago a league that was suppose to start the United Football League but turned out to be a money scam. The so called league "owner" had an entry fee for any team and just took the money and ran from those who did so. Please tell me he got caught straight away and a judge called him a dipshit for thinking he could get away with that.

Actually, he went on to create the Fall Experimental Football League, which was even more corrupt than the previous league. I mean, there was a travel team in the second year, and travel teams tend to get shitty treatment no matter what (the Road Warriors in the Atlantic League this season will remind people how awful the Salina Stockade were last year), but this team got paid 1/4th the other teams. And those teams were paid $350 a player.

If my City gets a team, I'm more than sold on this league. Again the XFL is in a lot of trouble when keep bring in top level Football guys into it.

At this point Vince's last chance is a merger or partnership between the two and them playing them like The NFC/AFC and having the winners of both play each other If this wasn’t Vince we’re talking about I would think this is actually the plan. Two long aligned families put their resources together to form two leagues which creates a strong secondary system provides entertainment during the off-season of the big guys. But this is Vince we’re talking about. I wouldn’t be surprised if he sees Ebersol as some kind of Judas and thinks he can overtake the NFL in less than a decade. The beautiful crazy bastard that he is.

Vince still I think has this idea that he will battle the NFL in a none direct way. Even though the AAF will be in there second season by the time he starts and already taking in the top talent out there. With all of these major Football minds in the AAF, Vince is already in a lot of trouble at this point.

Vince is dead meat. None of his non wrestling projects work. More so if another minor league is challenging him.

Vince is dead meat. None of his non wrestling projects work. More so if another minor league is challenging him. It's not even a challenge, AAF basiclly killed the XFL before it even started, the AAF will be a year old before Vince even starts, so they will have the first crack at the best talent available, and Vince will get the NFL and AAF leftovers. Plus compare the reveals. AAF came out with a whole ten year plan with investors, a entire staff full of a bunch of football experience, a TV deal, and a ton of information and detail on HOW fans are going to be so interactive with the league and what they will do to make the game faster and safer. Meanwhile Vince, yeah well in 2020 we are going to have football and listen to fans ideas on how to make the game better, shorter, and great in quality. Since than there been nothing and from the start no real information on what they are going to do besides listen. There was never anything in plans by him or anybody working with him because he never revealed anybody. AAF came up with the same model but with stuff in place on how they are going to achieve it. Hell we know a City and head coach of the first team already and it happens to be a NFL hall of fame coach. I've read that Rick Neuheisel could be next for a Sourthern CA team. Couple days ago he was link but nothing finalized just yet but I think that maybe the next one we hear about. Second team in Sourthern CA maybe San Deigo with Rick.

Minor correction there: Spurrier is in the college football hall of fame. His coaching career in the NFL was short and completely unremarkable.

And, the main differences the XFL will have are, as of now, just "Half-time is for sissies" & "Real players STAND for the National Anthem". I'll bet you Richard Lagow will be an XFL quarterback and that'll further make me dislike the dude as it is.

My theory is that XFL and Alliance were to be one and the same... and then they had a disagreement somewhere along the planning stages which caused Vince to spin off on his own.

I like that they are called the Alliance. It's WCW and ECW gaining revenge, but in football form.

Brad Childress is Atlanta's head coach, while Michael Vick is the offensive coordinator.

I hope it's not standing for the anthem that tore them apart. I'm not saying more on that. I just think Vince NEVER learns from his worst ideas. We've gotten two brand splits and now two XFLs. I'm shocked that he HASN'T tried to resurrect the WBL!

Brad Childress is Atlanta's head coach, while Michael Vick is the offensive coordinator. This is an interesting choice, Vick more so because his history with Altanta. Vick is also none head coach rule announced for the team. So two teams so far both in the South East. I remember not long after Orlando was announced that there where rumors about San Deigo.
