I fully support this. Can’t put into words how much 9-12 year old me is marking out for so many comic book pages being made live action. Not everything is good or great. But I’m just happy it’s being accomplished.

While I am so happy that after decades we are finally getting lots of comic book based films and TV shows...I would have loved this even more when I was a kid. Back then all we had was Wonder Woman,Incredible Hulk and that crappy CBS Spider Man show.
Now it seems like pretty much every night of the week there is a comic book based show on the air. And most of them are well done.

So, this dropped last night.
Finally got around to watching it this morning on Hulu. It continues to amaze me how Marvel finds new ways to diversify it's look and style; apart from the Roxxon namedrop, you'd never assume this was a Marvel television show. The acting is a little dodgy (though Olivia (Dagger) and both of the mothers are early stand-outs), but the special effects are good (though they have less to do here than, say, Agents of SHIELD).
Overall, I liked it. Marvel continues to hold their own on the television side.

Any MCU connections, or is it just its own little corner like Runaways or the Defenders-adjacent shows?

Any MCU connections, or is it just its own little corner like Runaways or the Defenders-adjacent shows? Less connected to the MCU than Marvel Netflix, more connected than Runaways (which I don't recall any connective references). The only real connective tissue is the Roxxon Corporation. Though, now that I think about it, they did establish a connection between Roxxon and the Darkforce (then called Zero Matter) in Agent Carter, so there's that.

Freeform is owned by Disney so this is likely in the MCU.

So, Marvel is blasting a BUNCH of #CloakandDagger vids on YouTube right now, this one being the latest. Is this show a hit-- on the oft-ignored Freeform network?
I wish this show was on FOX or NBC or something, because literally this is the greatest story ever told about Blacks and Whites being 'same'. Cloak and Dagger each have their individual weaknesses (drug use for Dagger, violence for Cloack) but together they temper each other and can overcome any obstacle. With the hyperized race relations in the world it's a story that should be on a grander stage.

Really enjoying it. But instead of watching it week I let 2 episodes build up on the DVR and watch them in a row. Mostly cause while the show is good the pacing is a bit slow.
Took me 2 episodes to realize it is sent in NOLA. But once I realized that I keep seeing stuff I recognized.

One of the best shows and I love the changes they made as Cloak & Dagger are two of my favorite Marvel characters

Its getting good praise and averaging over half a million viewers in ratings, makes me wonder how long they plan on doing it?

I've got all of the episodes on DVR, but I just haven't found the time to get into them. Glad to see the positive comments so I know I will get to them eventually.

I’m enjoying it. But this is the third marvel tv show with a plot about drilling a hole in the ground.

This week's episode was, without hyperbole, one of the best episodes of Marvel television I've seen, storywise and emotionally.
This show deserved so much more attention.
