Wait. 2/40? This season is going to have 40 episodes?!? Wouldn’t that cause the show to catch up with the manga super quickly? To clarify, it's the 2nd episode of the 3rd season, and 40th episode overall starting from season 1.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Makes sense they would expand a little more on things as they have to stretch this out. I will be watching this later when I can. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}
{Spoiler}It definitely helped in giving the rest of the class (aside from the main players so far) some time to show off their stuff. Well, aside from Tooru, who was bait. Namely, Sero downing a flying beast by taping up its wings was pretty cool. Satou uppercutting one was also neat. Kouda summoning birds, too, which at leasts gives kinda an explanation on how he passed the practical entrance exams.
Still trying to figure out how Tooru passed. Like, with Mineta, his quirk allows him to immobilize stuff, and that counted as points on the exams. On Tooru's case I'm still unsure how. I mean, possibly she sneaked to the robots and fiddled around with their wiring, or something. Later on in the manga she does show that she can cause a flash, too, I guess.

In regards to the other classmates, I do hope moving forward we get more "intimate fights" involving them. Eijiro took a big step up in my eyes with his fight last arc because we got to know him better, see how tough he is, and the fact he won't back down from danger which earned him the respect of a villain. His desire to protect Taishiro made him overcome his fear and I hope the other students get chances to shine like this. {Spoiler}

{Spoiler}That said, a bigger mystery is that one of the class 1-B students is basically invisible except for body parts(?) that are basically text bubbles. Like, unless he can like weaponize those dialog bubbles, that's gotta be worse than Tooru's.
But yeah, getting a spotlight on the lesser shown guys and gals of 1-A would be nice. Like what was mentioned before, the girls in particular still don't have that life or death moment against a villain. More than just a cool fight, something that shows that why they want to be heroes.

Hope they go full meta with it and be something silly like whatever appears in the bubble comes true Yes, as we discussed before the women need to show off their abilities as well. That would work well for Mina since we got some background on her thanks to Eijiro. You also have Froopy who can have the never say die attitude. However, more than likely Uraraka will more than likely get the first proper female fight as the main female protagonist. She's shown she can hang with someone like Bakugo who respects her so she's the easy choice to get a fight against a villain plus she has learned some combat techniques thanks to her internship {Spoiler}

Manga chapter is out. {Spoiler}And so the fight ends. Also, Deku doing four fingers at the same time for a finger flick. It's no 100% finger breaking attack like before, but it certainly looks cool.

Yeah, yeah, yeah~ Episode 3 of S3 (episode 41 overall) is out! {Spoiler}Anime expanded things a wee bit again, detailing how everyone on 1-A is training their quirks. The expressions on a lot of them is rather hilarious. In the manga, some of the class weren't shown training their quirks, so the anime gave them some time to shine.
Villains got some nice new BGM for them as well. The shit has hit the fan, and next episode it's gonna dive into the life or death action. Can't wait. Things are progressing quite quickly.

I'm a bit confused about how that's worded. The whole "during "another summer" during the "Forest Training Arc""... like, does that mean that it's not quite canon? Mainly from me trying to figure out what "another summer" means. Plus it's kinda weird that Deku is going off on a trip on some man-made island (with All Might, but still...) when during the first episode of season 3 the class was asked not to take trips far away for security purposes.

This def can’t be canon. Unless they are doing a time jump, there’s really no room to squeeze this trip into the story. However, you got the whole young All Might shit that they will try to fit into the story so it’s all weird

That said, my wild guess for this is that the young All Might shown in the pictures so far is actually either: a)evil clone, b)impersonator, c)shapeshifting quirk, or d)evil clone who sees the error of his ways and sacrifices his life to save the day.

Yea I can see that happening. Their is no way they can give away any young all might stories before the main story gets to it. Their is no way this story is canon but the premise seems interesting enough. They will start turning out movies like Naruto and Bleach but the fortunate thing for them is their whole story anime wise is without filler

Nothing substantial, though most likely. Maybe. Anyway, regarding the anime. {Spoiler}I'm pretty hyped for Deku vs. Muscular and All Might vs. All for One, to the point where I kinda overlooked Deku vs. Bakugou round 2, but after a re-read, man that was also a great moment. Starting with Bakugou just almost calmly talking to Deku, which so far has never really happened before during their teens, and him just blaming himself for All Might losing what's left of his powers for good. Much needed character development for him, and the starting point where he becomes far less of an asshole to Deku. Plus it's a great fight scene as well.

He's a major asshole up to the point of that story but you see where he's coming from and how hard he is on himself. It does make you want to start cheering for him because of all things you forget he's actually naturally talented but his arrogance got into the way of his progression. I'm glad in the manga now their has been a better relationship per se with them. I believe a few chapters okay he casually ask Midoriya if he's gotten any better which Deku just says no and he walks off. I'm glad they didn't go the obvious route of making him a villain as his progression as a hero has been good to see {Spoiler}

{Spoiler}He kinda snarks to Deku about the lack of progress, but it's a lot more low key and has far less aggressiveness, much like the time when he gave Deku his thoughts on shoot style.
Also, just realized, much like season 2, season 3 seems to be ending at a more low-key moment. Season 2 started with the school festival, then the more life-threatening Stain arc, and ended with the intense exam arc (and Shiragaki encountering Deku for the final episode). Season 3 has the training camp arc, then All Might vs. All for One, and most likely it will end with Deku vs. Bakugou round 2. An intense moment, though in terms of life-and-death situations it's far less down the scale compared to AfO going on a rampage. And, it's so far away right now so it's not set in stone, but if it's the same length as season 3 things will start off with Overhaul and end with Gentle.

Season 4 would already be off to a hot start so ending with their fight and the aftermath would set the stage for a big season 4 in which the fights would go next level. It would be too much emotion to end with All Might retiring after his fight with his speech. {Spoiler}

S3E4/42nd episode overall is out! (and manga was out a few hours before anime) For manga: {Spoiler}Alls well that ends well, it seems. Eri got her smile back. Perhaps the next chapter is the start of a new arc, or wrap-up of the current one. I'd like to see some more festival shenanigans, though the longer the festival lasts the higher the chance some crazy bad thing happens on the school, I feel. For anime: {Spoiler}That was pretty good. Still surprised that they managed to fit the whole Muscular encounter in one episode, but considering the pace of season 3 so far it's not surprising. When Deku went One for All 1 million (which isn't exactly 1 million, basically something Deku said to psyche himself up), I kinda felt the OST wasn't the right one for the job. That said, You Say Run would not have fit the moment either. That said, the moment before Deku's second wind, as he was desperately trying to push back Muscular was the best scene of that episode for me.
