So... has he explained that Batman talking about how the buildings had all been evacuated was not Snyder stomping his feet angrily at the nerds pointing out that Superman gave absolutely no f***s about absolutely destroying Smallville and Metropolis in the fight? <_< Cause that's what it sounded like to me... ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

For as much crap as Snyder gets for these movies, David Goyer honestly should get way more for his involvement in them too. Dude got mad lucky being tied to the Nolan series and managed to convince a lot of people he was some genius or an equal part of the vision those movies saw when he's since been shown to be the dude he was prior to the Nolan movies, a hack. Worse yet, he's a hack that openly disrespects and mocks comic books & their fans, and thinks every tweak he makes to any existing comic book idea instantly makes it credible art. Goyer must be like Russo in the sense that he has good ideas. Has been put out good stuff with proper funneling through systems. But when on his own goes crazy. I don't dislike a large portion of his back catalog either. Dude wrote the Blade movies, and even directed Trinity, which does have it's fair share of hate, but I love the trilogy dearly. For what it's worth Man of Steel is top 3 maybe even top 2 best Superman movies imo as well. The first two Blades are amazing though. Trinity is another story altogether sadly. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

Best thing to happen to the Avengers was Joss Whedon being replaced by the Russo brothers for Infinity War.

Well it was pretty obvious the Knightmare sequence was a reference to Injustice. Anyone with a brain could see that. Now I wouldn't mind seeing an Injustice film where Superman has gone evil because I absolutely loved that part of the story in the game.

Injustice worked because Superman is the symbol of hope and it's such a departure from Superman's normal behavior. (and really there are so many other evil superman things that it's a pretty worn out trope on top of it) It's not that far a jump from how Superman acted in Snyder's movies, hell he flat out gives up on Humanity in BVS.

As much as I love the Russo Bros they tend to make the action too grounded and not focus on it enough. I would've loved to have seen what Whedon would've done with Thanos, Strange, Spider-Man, and The Guardians as far as the visuals and action is concerned.

Hell I was a big Blade the Series fan too, so maybe I'm just a mark.

Yea, Injustice Superman doesn't work in this universe when Superman is a massive dickhead already so it's not that big of a jump for Superman to go evil as it was in the comics

I just tried to watch Man of Steel on TV. Man has that movie not held up well for me. I haven't re-watched it since I saw it in theaters, but that fantastic action in the later part of the movie really made me forget what a chore the beginning of it was. I'm beginning to see a trend with Snyder's movies. They actually seem good as you're watching them in the theater, but as soon as you walk out, or when you watch it a second time, you start to pick at it, and realize how stupid and bad of a filmmaker he is. I did that with DotD, I did that with Watchmen, I did that with MoS, and I feel like the shine is way off the dude now. The only movie I didn't do that with was Sucker Punch, because I was immediately offboard with that movie pretty much 5 minutes in, and was angry and openly mocking it with my friend the rest of the movie. F*** Sucker Punch.

I can forgive Metropolis being destroyed as he was new to his powers and just starting off in general. But I fail to see where he did anything that was remotely dickish in my opinion. For example, in Batman vs. Superman where he was watching the television of the girl trapped in a burning building, he immediately stopped his following of Bruce and went to save the little girl. He didn't seem annoyed that he had to stop what he was doing to save her. So I just don't see where he did anything that resulted in him being a douche.

No shit. They aren't going to spend the millions of dollars to finish effects on something they are sure as hell not getting their investment back on.
