Both of DC's movie departments (live action/Animated) need sorting.
Both are terrible right now

I stand by my belief that the DC movie universe problems began with "Man of Steel", and Snyder is to blame. You cannot base a movie universe on his creative vision. He doesn't understand these characters and never will. He should have been nowhere near them. Unquestionably. While the action was top notch no one wants a broody Superman who has to let Pa Kent get killed by a tornado because reasons.

Yeah, not like he could've ducked out behind a building or something and save him in a split second since he's been shown in Justice League to be as fast as The Flash and could've easily done so (yes I know it's that way in the comics too, but sometimes comics/movies have different rules).

You can add all the symbolism and "meaning" you want. It's not gonna stop your shitty movie from being shitty.

P.S. Sex Addict Batman is probably as bad if not worse than killer Batman. Just saying, Zacky.

I need to see what the current Batman writer, Tom King, thinks of this -- as Batman is a few issues away from marrying Catwoman.

As well as being told he's an idiot for wanting to use his powers and should just let people die

You can add all the symbolism and "meaning" you want. It's not gonna stop your shitty movie from being shitty. Elizabeth Berkley was meant to symbolize how we all struggle with life in Showgirls. That's why she was flopping around like a fish during that pool sex scene.

Hey, can I just go on record to say f*** everything about Zack Snyder and his edgy idea of superheroes?
Seriously, dude, shut up and make the Holy Terror movie with Frank Miller already, ya mook.

He doesn't understand these characters and never will. He should have been nowhere near them. I was disappointed, I had such high hopes for "Man Of Steel", I was trying to put aside what his previous filmmaking output showed of his vision, and then John Kent decided to say "Well, yeah, maybe you should have let all of those kids drown, Clark." I think that took me out of the movie completely. If not that, Johnathan deciding it's better to die in a tornado than have his son save him certainly did it.

Here's an easy one: You made a garbage movie, Zack. Two if you go by why he was allegedly fired from Justice League. Which I happen to believe by his actions post release. I had a lot of hope for Zack way back when He is a one note director stylistically, and while that note was appropriate for Dawn of the Dead and 300 and even Watchmen (YMMV), it is clearly not appropriate for the broader DC universe. the problem with a lot of these things is his style may fit... but he doesn't understand shit. he didn't get that 300 was Spartan Propaganda and added in scenes that don't fit that narrative. he didn't get Watchmen period which is especially obvious with having Ozy as the blatant bad guy, and changing the ending to something that flat out doesn't make sense in universe. he didn't understand the really basic story of Dark Knight Returns... he doesn't understand a damn thing about Superman, he doesn't understand the entire point of Zod, or the Kents... or that Superman really doesn't think of himself as a kryptonian... or how not to undermine your entire movie by having the big bad super soldier getting his ass kicked by a scientist in the opening 10 minutes

Pretty much sums it up. Honestly, that was probably one of the really good moments in Justice League. I mean minus the speed skating Flash run... That said I mean Superman being able to see Flash running like that at least does fit the powerset, and this isn't full speed force Barry either.

Yeah, it's a Barry that hasn't realized his full potential. It's like Homecoming, Spidey is going to f*** up, because he's still new to it.

Watchmen was pretty good, but I think that was mainly due to him using the book as a storyboard and in spite of, not due to, his own contributions.
