April 19th: Kid me would've chosen Honey We Shrunk The Kids, easily. Adult me would probably go with Field of Dreams.
April 20th: I wasn't born until 88, so no kid me. Present day me would go with Trading Places, probably.

Other then Sudden Impact I might skip that week Trading Places?! Who never loved you to make you hate life?? while it is impossible to know if he is looking good without some sort of visual representation, i think its very apparent he isn't feeling good if he's going to pass on Trading Places. i mean passing on Trading Places is the kind of negative behavior you'd get from someone who puts Kools out on a person's floor!

by the way, whoever made that image ain't foolin' me. those aren't the real tapes! they've got the tabs, you can record over them. get them bootlegs outta here! Also, those generic labels with the title logos photoshopped on are a giveaway. And the image of the video store in the background is from a store pre-1985 (notice all the original Warner Bros clamshells. Those were discontinued in 1984...the year before Blockbuster started). Probably 83/84 at the latest. There's a display on the right for the MAKING OF MICHAEL JACKSON'S THRILLER video, so, I'm thinking 83. As for the movies...all of those are good. Love Trading Places particularly.

I don't remember Sudden Impact, but I watched the other 3. In economics class, our teacher showed us Trading Places; the scene on the floor where he waited for the price to hit a point then sell, sell, sell. WarGames, I loved that movie. Ally Sheedy, notwithstanding. Mr. Mom is good. Saw that a ton of times as a kid; recently watched it again and understood a lot of the stuff that 10 year old me didn't get.

My mom loved Ruthless People, had Bette Midler in it. Danny Devito hates his wife so much he wants her dead. He hires kidnappers.
I did remember liking it myself.

Terminator, Revenge of the Nerds, and Police Academy are tremendous, don’t really remember Bachelor Party, sounds like there could be boobies in it though.

Bachelor Party is one of those movies that makes me feel dirty for watching it.
Saw the others. Enjoyed them very much.

Not a bad line up. Got one of the few good James Cameron films. One of the 80s best comedies. The best movie Tom Hanks made. And the start of the Police Academy franchise.

Used to love renting Tapes at my local place on Saturdays you got Sunday's free A girl I grew up with's older brother opened up a video store when I was about 14. It did well enough he opened up another out where I lived. Which was way out in the country. His dad ran that store. And they were closed Wednesdays and Sundays. So if you rented on Tuesday or Saturdays you got it for 2 days instead of 1. Also they would be closed a week around Thanksgiving. So whatever you rented you got keep for a week. Back then for Thanksgiving we would come up to some friends of the family for my Dad to go hunting. These friends lived so far out that even with an antenna you got maybe 2 channels,it was Sontag MS a town that I doubt more than one other person here knows about. So the day before we came up I would go rent 5 or so NES or Genesis games and 10 movies. And spend a week playing video games and watching movies. While my parents played cards with their friends. I love Netflix,I use the disc rental version, but miss going to the video store. Walking up and down the aisles trying to find something to rent. It isn't the same thing now with Redbox and Netflix. Plus the selection at Redbox sucks for me. I rarely have any interest in seeing the newest big blockbuster. I rather see some 70s era Italian gore movie than anything starring say Jennifer Lawrence or whoever the big star is now.
