So the Jays have a hole in the roof,
Blue Jays tried to fix the hole all day. Then finally at 5:34 pm EST they called off the game.
People are pissed as they can from far away places in horrible weather only to be told last minute, sorry bro, game cancelled,
All the parking, driving, transit passes, hot dogs consumed, etc... All wasted money.
Fans are pissed.
So if an event can't go, what's a reasonable time for them to call it off so peoe don't waste their time getting to the event?

Well some times situations are uncontrollable, just like rain delays at any event. I mean Hell think what happens as a fan who may drove to see a Nascar race for the weekend and it get moved to Monday because of rain or not long ago Snow. This is the same kind of situation because they thought they could get it fix in time.

Depends on the situation.
However, if you're going to call a game (you have to get permission from MLB headquarters in New York to do so), refunds should be an option for people who won't be coming back with a rain check.
