That is a good example of a 2600 game that once you read the instructions is a good game. One of the earliest adventure games with graphics. A few years back someone looked through the game code and discovered there is at least 2 screens in the game that there seems to be no way to get to. Odd question. I remember as a kid seeing an ad in some electronics mag. It was advertising 2 devices for the 2600. One was a cart copier. "This way you can back up your valuable games incase the power goes out and the cart gets corrupted." The other device was pretty much a Game Genie but for the 2600. My question is this. Has anyone here ever seen either device or even know if they actually got released. I know there was lots of vaporware for the 2600.

Not sure about those, but I have an adapter for the 2600 that you could have five games plugged in at once. You couldn't play them all at the same time....

This was more recent but I swear I saw a CD-ROM that could plug into the 2600 since you could probably put better than half the system's library on one CD.

As for bad games, I'm one of the few who owns (and enjoyed) WWE Crush Hour. I kept it JUST for the Shampoo Commercial

Is the CD thing a cuttle cart? Back in the 80s a group created the star path super charger. Which was a 2600 cart with a wire coming off it. You plugged the wire into the earphone Jack on a cassette deck. And the star path games came on audio cassette. In the late 90s someone took that idea, renamed it the cuttle cart.And you plug it into the earphone Jack of a CD player. Then take the 2600 toms run them thru a program that makes them into mp3s. Burn those to a cd,and whammo you got a cd with every 2600 game.

Never heard of a device that lets you plug in 5 carts. But there was/is so much stuff for the 2600. Since it had the longest lifespan of a home console. Started in what 76 or 77 and the last officially published game came out in 89 or 90. Hell there is still new games being made for the 2600. Like Halo,Princess Rescue and the long rumored Knight Rider game.

NES,Genesis,SNES,Atari 2600,PS1 and Dreamcast. Plus a DS Lite and a Game Com. Also got a At Games Portable Genesis. That has a SD card loaded with every Genesis game. I keep that in my bookbag that goes with me everywhere. Sure the sound isn't perfect. But I rarely play it with the sound on. And many a long road trip has been spent playing Risk and other Genesis games on it.

Been wanting a Vectrex for years. But every time I find one it is either priced for way more than I am willing to pay. Or I don't have enough money on me to buy it.

I forgot to mention that I also had a Sega Master System and Game Boy at one point. 

I was forced to sell off a lot of those systems to make the bills. At one point, I had a decent Ebay presence and did a lot of buying and selling of classic games. 

I also used to frequent the AtariAge forums. I found the original WC forum through Stevie J of Rap Reviews and Angrymarks websites. I also used to buy games from him as well.

I could have had a 32X for $20 back in the day Walmart had them on clearance but Mom talked me out of it. Don't know if that was a good or bad thing

I bought the Dreamcast, and outside of Marvel V. Capcom 2 I barely ever ended up playing it.

Owned a ton of shit for the SNES just by virtue of having it so long and not being particularly choosy as long as friends and I could play it together. Venom & Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety and Gunforce come to mind right away.

that might be what it is - I remember Starpath and I might have a couple of the casettes. Nothing to play them with.

I have a couple of the XONOX "double carts" too.

Atari was pretty ambitious, just remembered Swordquest. I only played the first one, I think 2 of the 4 had official releases....

That was probably a good thing, unless you wanted to play watered down ports of Doom or Virtua Fighter. Because I didn't own a PC at the time, renting a 32X with a copy of Doom was the only way I could play that game until my family got a PC maybe 2 years later.

I haven't played it, but Kolibri is supposedly one of the very few original 32X games worth playing. It looks cool.
