I loved Avatar and still watch it whenever it's on TV as well as owning it on DVD. But I'd much rather Cameron get to work on a sequel for True Lies 2 if I am completely honest.

To be fair it is an actual word (though spelled differently), though it's still stupid.

It was OK....at best.
The whole time I just kept thinking "I could've saved much more money just staying at home and watching Dances with wolves or Last Samurai"
As far as the sequels go I couldn't care less

I didn't even think it was that great of a theater experience, but 3-D glasses barely work for me.
Old school 3-D stuff like the attractions at Disney don't work at all.

It was overhyped into becoming the best selling film ever basically on account of "hey look, nice plants", but it's such a paint by numbers film, and let's face it any film with visual effects as the appeal is automatically gonna lose the one thing it had going for it in a few years time.
I mean, next to the CGI city of Wakanda it looks like shit.

My ex basically forced me to watch it and woke me up in the middle of it because I was snoring so loud.
It was too similar to Ferngully, but failed to hold my interest.
I can't believe they are making MULTIPLE sequels! Holy crap!!

I bought the Blu-ray and I don't think I've ever watched it once. I wanted it because I thought it would look great on Blu-ray, but I simply haven't wanted to watch it. It looked stunning in the theater, but I just have never cared to watch it again. I love the MCU and have watched several of those movies multiple times.

It didn't make a dent in pop culture. Avatar is a ride, not a film. Hollow and superficial. You forget it as soon as it's over. Yep. I remember a teacher once saying something along the lines of. Avatar made more money than any other movie ever made... now name 3 main characters from it. and no one could. It is infinitely unmemorable. Even at the time I thought the cgi wasn't particularly good some of the landscapes were pretty but anything that looked like it was supposed to be alive looked really artificial.

I only remember Miles Quatrich because Stephen Lang was & still is such a badass actor. Everyone else is That Thing.

I was never impressed with Avatar visually because to me, right in the same year it's completely outclassed by District 9 which was made on nowhere remotely close to the budget. And I didn't even LIKE District 9.

I was gonna mention "This movie brought Stephen Lang into my consciousness!" Only I couldn't remember Stephen Lang's name. And also I only really LIKE the guy because of his role on Salem.

I mentally check out as soon as it was mentioned. The same word is used in The Core, and even in that the character who uses it essentially says "Yeah, it's a dumbass name, but I couldn't think of anything good."

I mentally check out as soon as it was mentioned. That honestly made me think of Dr. Stevie Richards and the powerful knock-out drug "Fill-in-the-blank"...

What pissed me off about The Core was that they dug into the Marianas Trench. Wouldn't all the ocean water drain into the mantle and be converted to steam, only to be trapped below, irreversibly dooming the planet?
