My guess is the target audience for this is fairly well off business types that love GNR. I couldn’t imagine any teen or something dropping $650 on one collection. Most teens aren't buying physical media period.

I really just want unreleased tracks, which is basically discs 3 and 4. All of the other stuff ranges from neat to totally unnecessary, and it's insane that this set is so. much. money. Cut it out, band. At least you can wait for when the music hits streaming services. I'm kind of hoping maybe they'll wind up selling discs separately and I can cherry pick what I want.

looking it up, there are like 4 different versions of this, there is a stand alone just remastered album or 16 bucks, then theres a 2 disc set featuring only 14 of the unreleased tracks thats running round 35 bucks, then theres the deluxe at 135 now that has all the discs, and then the mega box at 1,500.

here is the single from this collection "Shadow Of Your Love" which has brought the drama after Steven Adler commented on it going "I remember playing on the song, whats on this is not me playing, I know my style, I know my fills, I know how I sound, the drummer on this isnt me" also fans have listened and compared it to other demo versions that have been out there and commented that the rhythm guitar doesnt sound like Izzy's tone or playing style, its a bit too technical. on top of this, the lead guitar is so loud in the mix and sounds like Slash just recorded them weeks ago, its a bit too crisp for his playing style back then. Also Axl's voice sounds a bit too clean and not like his 80's self at all and also how crisp his vocals sound on it is leading the fans to believe Axl also re-recorded his vocals on this too. so I guess, with Axl and Slash re-recording their parts, and Richard replacing Izzy on the track, and Frank replacing Adler on the track...here's a single from the current line up of GnR trying to pass as the AFD line up. and oddly this thing is actually charting, its #16 on the billboard rock charts this week. I’m only replying because I think you’ll be most interested in this, but reports are coming out One in a Million has been left off this set since it’s so “racist”. Guess they got confused by the reissue of Live Like a Suicide and it’s earlier inclusion on Lies. It wasn’t some random source. I think it was like iHeart Radio. This box set seems to have the Live Like A Suicide sessions and some of the LIES sessions too, with all the drama One In A Million originally caused and relations between Slash and Axl being so great again I feel Axl chose not to include it on this release to sort of not make too many waves.

I swear I heard Shadow of your love on some GnR bootleg back in the 90s. I might be thinking of the wrong song, but pretty sure that was it.
Gotta buddy that is getting the big set of this. Will get him to "loan" it to me.

I’d say it was one of their better known originals, but it comes from Hollywood Rose, one of two bands that formed the original Guns N‘ Roses. It appears on the 2004 Hollywood Rose release of an old demo sessions from the 1980s, that is widely available. It’s only five songs and then two remixes of each song, but definitely worth checking out if you’re a GNR fan.

I can't be bothered to listen to this remixed "Shadow Of Your Love".
You don't record over Izzy. You just don't.

I love GNR but this was my first time hearing Shadow Of Your Love. It kinda sucked, no wonder it didn't make the cut of the album.

Yeah, as expected, if you didn't want to shell out the money for this, the B-Sides 'n EP's set and the 2 Sound City session sets, are now available on streaming if you want to check it out.

I got a hold of the full audio from this, and passed along the unreleased demos to some dear friends of mine. mega surprised no Sweet Child demo apart of this set since it does exist as Ive had it for years now...which actually about 95% of the last 2 discs are stuff thats been out there for years.
the remaster of the album itself is good, things are louder and more brought out.
the other discs are nice, I dig the acoustic November Rain and acoustic Move To The City on this set.
