“Let’s go Strowman.” “Strowman sucks.”
Hmmm, has a nice ring to it.

Braun should be Universal Champion right now in my opinion. Absolutely. He should have won that belt months ago. And WrestleMania’s Main Event should have been him Vs. Roman in a no DQ match with a ton of creative spots that resulted in the stadium looking like Tokyo after Godzilla and the monster of your choice’s battles together. They have never had a bad match together, and there was a podcast interview Braun did where he credited Roman for helping him get to the point he is now (found the clip on YouTube) and you just know they would make something very special in that environment.

The "backlash" over the Nicholas stuff was all online with people who are mad all the time anyway. The two smarkiest crowds of the year loved it and popped huge for Nicholas the night after Wrestlemania. Braun can make anything work and is way overdue to be the top face.

Can somebody dig out a link to the thread from about 2 years ago where Vince was claiming Braun was going to be the next top face and we all laughed. We were so wrong it's painful. It is INSANE to see people act like Vince doesn't like Braun. Dude is literally every Vince preference stereotype come to life. It's hilarious to listen to Alvarez and Meltzer back then too. "Oh yeah. Vince loves this guy and I'm suuuuuuure he's gonna be soooooo good. Ugh."

Braun getting the push that Roman got makes more sense. Braun looks like a big, unbeatable monster oppose to Roman who you can tell is getting it handed to him. It’s the most noticeable difference between organic and forced.

“Let’s go Strowman.” “Strowman sucks.” Hmmm, has a nice ring to it. Thing with Braun is that when he's ready to go heel it'll be easy. Not many guys today can play with the tightrope and be either or as well as him. He's going to be around a long time as long as he doesn't get hurt.

People don't necessarily reject superfaces outta hand though, so long as there's at least the illusion'they' picked em.
Braun's got a ton of fan goodwill to burn thru before there'd be any negative reaction.

I mean, there's gotta be someone since him, but at least since Goldberg. Even GOLDBERG floundered once he lost.

That's true, but he'd still have some form of 'honeymoon' period with fans for a lil while.

I’m fine with this. Braun WAS chosen by the fans, unlike Roman. Braun wasn’t inserted into the main event cuz “he’s the next guy,” we WANT him in the main event cuz he’s awesome. I’m ready for Braun Must Pose!

Brock has been given a lot more "Vince likes this" material, but I think he's got a certain kind of comedic timing that helps him in that role. It's a treacherous line to walk but if they can walk it, he can absolutely be something special. I don't really think anyone should be a years-long top guy of the company with how much programming they have and how much talent is there, and I also think that Braun isn't really someone you can have spend years in that position, but I think he is absolutely main event material and someone who should be up in that pool of top guys.

I’m ready for Braun Must Pose! Braun was chosen by Vince who the fans latched on to as well. Everything Braun has done has been in Vince vision but the big thing is he wasn’t pushed prematurely in the main event which makes a big difference

Like I said before, I think it's still gonna necessarily happen after the tag team thing, but it was slower than it would have been. Braun's real gift is that he looks like he's having the damn time of his life out there ever match he's in, even back when he was trying to play a mean growly heel. That quality makes me think he'll ULTIMATELY be fine, but he'll have to go through a backlash (and heel turn probably) first.

Vince won’t get the praise for actually doing something right with Braun but he will get the blame when Vince gets too much into it despite the writing being on the wall long ago It’s different to be a focus of the product and being THE focus. Braun has a lot of good will built up so he can take a dump in the ring and people will cheer it. But yeah writing has been on the wall for me when he killed the barren bones of the raw tag team scene.
