Honestly it feels like they have a checklist of everything that could make Lashley lame and they're doing it all. Super generic music that's impossible to remember? Terrible finisher? Zero promo time? Having him as a face when he's only actually been any good as a heel? Making this guy who got over as a full-of-himself badass be constantly in tag matches? Have him spend the whole thing being the Ricky Morton while at it? Check, check, check, check, check, check.

He should be using something like that head and arm choke that he used in TNA or hell, the Dominator, as a finisher, both are much better than the delayed suplex.

I didn't think it was the first week or so, but that's lame. Unfortunately they won't let him use the dominator, the powerslam is Braun's now and the spear of course goes to Roman.

As for momentum, he's definitely ice-cold right now, it can definitely change as it's only been a month but I'm not hopeful.

1. give him his original old theme or make him a BETTER one.
2. have him debut by jumping a babyface (Finn?) from behind and annhilating them.
3. let him cut one of his cocky jock promos, and maybe 2 or 3
4. let him USE THE SPEAR as a finisher as it's miles ahead of Roman's, and we've had instances of more than one wrestler using the spear as a finisher before.
5. PROFIT!

A delayed one like his allows blood to rush to his opponent's head which does make it worse than a normal one.

That said, it does suck as a finish

I actually think this is hilarious. I'm quite a WWE apologist on this forum sometimes, but the way they have one-downed themselves in this complete ruination of one of the only good things about TNA is so impressive that I'm tempted to stick on a tinfoil hat and say they only hired him to destroy something TNA did well.

Hell, we've got more than one use of the spear now with Rhyno using his variation of it. Lashley should have been allowed to use the spear from the get go.

I mean, how much more impactful would it have been for Lashley to have broken some dude in half with it on the Raw after mania, then had MVP (who was great as his mouthpiece in TNA when Lashley first turned heel) cut a promo reintroducing him to the WWE Audience?

Just proves what I've always thought about Lashley. Dude's a hothouse flower. When he's booked and used "just so" he thrives and looks amazing, but he can't adapt and excel outside of those conditions.
