Not actually ridiculous at all. In fact rather awesome. I just wanted to post Billy Jack. Action kicks in at around 2:10.

I once saw an action montage and I've never been able to find the film again. I think it is a Spanish language movie. Either the hero or the guy he is fighting uses two knifes on ropes. The soundtrack to it I think has the hero's name being chanted, maybe "Julio" something. There hero might have been a priest, or was fighting to protect a priest.
Color film. Felt 70's or 80's, but it is harder to tell with international stuff sometimes.
All really vague, I know, but if anyone knows what I'm talking about I'd definitely be grateful.

I give to you Indian Chuck Norris Lol I liked how they made fun of the dude, but when he went after them, they never once tried to fight back. It's like they all planned to see how much they could push him to his breaking point, and if he reached it, all agreed to just get their asses handed to them. And apparently they all went to Dolph Zigglers selling school cause they sold his offense like death

A hundred or so guys being turned into soup, one exploding head, one machete decapitation, and a disembowelling ridiculous enough for you? Not gonna lie this movie is one of my favorite theater experiences ever. I never got to see the classic action movies in theater (UK was strict as f***) but this made up for it OMG, mine too! I loved all the original Rambo movies when I was a kid, but was way to young to see them in theaters. During this one, I just kept thinking "Oh my god...what the f***??" over and over again to myself. My film teacher said this fight scene was an editing miracle. The whole thing just captures the pure chaos and insanity of war. One minute the mercs that Rambo is helping are there...the next minute...almost all of the are just gone. I went through a flurry of emotions with the pacifist priest...at first I'm like "Yeah, he's finally growing a pair, manning up, and killing that dude!" the next second I'm thinking "Geez, he just beat the dude to death with a rock...like a pure savage monster...and he spent his whole life trying to find other ways than violence...that sucks man." The movie is crazy, and well, I just love the hell out of it.

So...are Indian movies supposed to be intentionally awful then? If they are, then they are unintentionally brilliant. Indian cinema still tends to value the concept of the outright hero. None of this "hero who is kinda bad vs villain who is kinda good" bullshit in the west which I think dilutes the impact of many movies. The best action movies in the west IMO were from the 1980's when you had clear good guys and bad guys for the most part. I can't get into stories where heroes are assholes and villains are just misunderstood anti heroes.
