I don’t know what I wanted to be on the other end of that ellipsis. But this damn sure wasn’t it.

I hate the three hour shows as well but at the same time Smackdown feels like they have like half a roster that is never being showcased consistently. You can also blame that on bad writing and booking.

When did Vince or Steph say they dislike the three hour shows? I think Vince is on record as saying that his preferred show length is 90 minutes, but the money for the extra time is too good to pass up. Never heard anything from Stephanie on the matter. Explains why they write a 90 minute show and then stretch and recap the hell out of it.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but I still say:
Separate the divisions.
Put the tag division on one show. The women's on another.
It won't be a cure-all but it will help pad out the extra hours, and give feuds a more streamlined feel. And you can market each show as "this is the only place to watch ________ action".
(also please move 205 Live to Full Sail)

Tye Dillinger might get a match every other week as opposed to every other month.

If all of that extra hour is given to decent length matches and meaningful feuds, then it would be okay. But I think we know that's not going to be the case.
But does this also mean that fans in the arena will be watching 205 Live and then three hours of Smackdown? That seems difficult to sustain.

You know who I’d feel bad for? Craft Services. 75% of their customer base is the SmackDown mid-lower card. I always think of catering because that was Yoshi Tatsu's final appearance in WWE.

WWE couldn't be daring people to stop watching harder if they advertised live intro performances every week by Wheatus I can't wait for the inevitable, 'ROMAN'S NOT FOLLOWING THE SCRIPT!!!' storyline to emerge.

Wheres the Grandpa Simpson gif? I think this one is more appropriate I'll do one better. I can't trust Road Dogg to book three hours without things rambling off into nonsense.

Attitude Era didn't need three hours. Hell, SmackDown in 2016 didn't need three hours.

Smackdown has enough high-end talent to make it work. And not enough writing talent

No, no it would not. The answer is not more time, the answer is writers who know to manage their time/talent better and not overuse meaningless padding like overlong promos and recaps.
Look at Lucha Underground. They have an hour each week to work with and don't feature many people per week, but the majority if not all their roster gets character development and things to do. They utilize what they have, instead of wasting it on filler.

This company has such poor time management that they can do a seven f***ing hour show and STILL have to squeeze half to two-thirds of the roster into a meaningless pre-show battle royal. I have no faith in a third hour benefitting SDL in the slightest.
