So that worked shoot they did on Raw once complaining about how none of the other tag teams cut the ring off never went anywhere?

Well at least their tag team name is appropriate.

Outside of stomping on New Day's icecream thingy let's pretend they never got called up.

I'm simultaneously most and least disappointed in how these guys got handled upon callup. A lot of guys I loved I would kind of joke about the main roster ruining them, but The Revival are such an 80s territory gimmick that I knew they'd be f***ed from jump street.

Just heard an interview with the Bucks talking about how they considered getting ahold of WWE to loan out Revival for All In but decided against bothering with it because they wanted to do the show without WWE involvement.

A part of me wants to say that would have been impossible but it seemed we were seriously close to Cody coming back with the Bucks for Starrcade before everything to do with that Raw happened.

I mean, what do you do with guys like this?
They're really good, but WWE's never going to book them in whatever way would get them over on the main roster. Their strengths are things main-roster fans just aren't used to paying attention to.

I was there! The Revival were pretty over. At least enough to where it wasn’t all pro-Undisputed Era. It was Dash Wilder’s birthday yesterday, so we were chanting happy birthday to him throughout the match. After the match(which they lost obviously) Dawson got on the mic and got everyone to sing happy birthday to Dash. However everyone stumbled when we got to be part where we’re supposed to say the name of the person whose birthday it is, because, well, people didn’t know which one was Dash and which one was Dawson.

Would have created intrigue as far as what WWE got in the deal as well as i'm sure they would have wanted The Bucks, Cody or both to appear on a big house show or maybe hold them over for a surprise Rumble appearance

Trips has talked in his conference calls about wanting to bring NXT to equal standing with Raw and SDL so shuffling talent between them won't be seen as a demotion or a negative on the guys and girls that move to NXT. I really hope that happens soon for guys like this. The main roster hasn't cared about tag teams since 99-01.

I mean, what do you do with guys like this? They're really good, but WWE's never going to book them in whatever way would get them over on the main roster. Their strengths are things main-roster fans just aren't used to paying attention to. It ties into what one of the biggest weird issues with NXT has been; it's where Triple H is amassing all of the talents and prospects he wants his vision of WWE to be built around, and in some cases trying to hold onto them for as long as possible because once they move up they're in Vince's yard and many of them come off actively worse in the face of it. The audience can be made to recognize and care about their match style if Vince wanted to book things right, make tag matches important, or even really gave much of a shit about tag stuff. So you get situations like this, where I'm sure it's just a one-off house show thing, but it represents the broader issue of all of these talents who Triple H really wants to use and how he's watching the main roster tear a lot of them to shreds, but still has the utmost of faith in them, because unless there's some secret internal timetable on Vince stepping down, Triple H is flying blind in knowing when he can do anything with these guys.
