Would changing Roman's theme mitigate the boos at all?

I noticed that the fans are now becoming conditioned to boo as soon as their drum beats hit (da da. da da). It's the same effect with Kurt Angle's theme and "You Suck" and John Cena's theme and "John Cena Sucks."

Booing and cheering has become an unreliable metric for popularity, but even if it wasn't, plenty of fans have made their opinion of Roman loud and clear. Repeatedly. For years. It's not the song.

Won't stop the boos, but it would be a step in the right direction. A huge component of the resentment against Reigns is the perception that they tried to give all of the Shield's momentum - attire, music, and all - to him and left Rollins and Ambrose to fend for themselves. By starting his presentation over, he might have a chance. Maybe.

They boo the song because it means Roman is coming out. It was awesome in the Shield days.

They don’t hate Roman because of the song - they hate the song because of Roman.

Roman needs a total overhaul. New look, new theme, new direction, maybe even a new name.

The part about a new name has to be discussed. I think from day one I have always found the name "Roman Reigns" ultra lame. At least Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins sound like actual human beings and not some cheesy focus group style "Trying to be way too cool" ring name. Roman Reigns sounds like a bad OVW name someone would get circa 2004. Indeed, the Reigns name actually was used before with Luther Reigns, and anything that reminds someone of Luther Reigns is NOT a good idea.
