I know most of it was pretty stupid but did you have any moments that you liked from the original NXT before it became the actual developmental of the WWE when it was like a contest?
Feel free to discuss & share your memories here ...

The Genesis of the beginning of the genesis of the beginning of the genesis of the beginning of......
Also in that horrible run of promos? When McGillicutty (who had some sort of genesis) announced that Kaval means "flute" like it was the sickest burn ever.

I liked the match game with Daniel Bryan and Derrick Bateman where they had clearly cheated with the answers

the keg carrying competition Eli Cottonwood's mustache promo Michael Cole being an awesome and amazing heel which resulted in this great gif but what stood out the most for me was that it started The Miz and Daniel Bryan feud

I fell into the rabbithole of watching a bunch of the stupid stuff from the divas season and beyond. Idc what anyone says, Cole and Matthews riffing on how horrible it was and making Striker laugh mid-competition with their one liners is hilarious to me.
Also, CM Punk's commentary that one episode.

Naomi and AJ Lee having like, the first and only good match during NXT Season 3. Like, it was a legitimately good match and not just because it was the only intentionally decent part of what became Mystery Wrestling Theater 3000. So good that Michael Cole broke his troll heel character to praise it.

Nothing in the first four seasons of NXT will compare to the bizarre alternate universe soap opera NXT Redemption turned into.

If it's true they actually wrote their own promos for that, Axel should have been blacklisted for the flute line, how badly it was delivered and his satisfied look when he delivered it

I think the entire Miz/Bryan angle was memorable. I mean, they're still playing off of it 8 years later.

The Bryan/Cole confrontation. The one time the heel Cole character worked. It's a shame it transformed into Cole just being "he's a nerd" after that.

Michael Cole saying something like "a rivalry spanning 45 minutes" before a match is one of my favorite lines ever.

Also, I don't think the melting man was ever actually in NXT (I believe he was in FCW), but any time I have an excuse to post that pic I take it!
