If The Lion King was scientifically accurate, every lioness in the pride would be a queen, not just Nala. The male lion in the pride mates with all females in the pride and kills any cubs that are not his so that the mom is available to mate with. There are some instances of brothers running a pride together, but typically the male runs off all mature males as they are his competition for access to his females. Yeah but that kinda destroys the movie.

I would note that at the beginning there were only two mature male lions who were brothers (Mufasa and Scar), which is an arrangement sometimes seen in nature, albeit rarely. Once Mufasa was killed, Scar is the only mature male around so he would run the pride naturally. Even Simba coming in and replacing Scar as head of the pride fits just fine, as does Simba's intense dislike of Kovu, Scar's son, who in nature he would have tried to kill in order to make Zira, his mother, available (yes, we owned The Lion King 2).

Yeah but that would make Nala and Simba siblings. True, but who was her dad anyways? As I mentioned, there were only two males around anyhow. It was implied that they were related. Granted, you probably don't want to point that out.
